Default C'mon Gunners!!    Show Printable Version  Print   Email this Page  Email

To miss out on the title [again] hurts like hell, to miss out on the last eight in the CL will be unforgivable. Liverpool absolutely wiped the Kop with Real last night and Drogba faltered and spluttered Chelsea into the last eight. What about us?

It's been a season to forget for Gunners - if they will let us lol. I mean, it's bad enough when your best mate is a Blues fan, but when you live next door to a Scouser murder is never far from your mind. The last time we played this bad, miniskirts were the rage in Iran and flight attendants offered you a selection of ciggies with your meals.

We simply have to be in the last eight tonight. So c'mon you Gunners!!

About Arsenal, I wanna see our line up first before I make predictions. Our key players are well rested, so if we come out with the same fight like on sunday and don't waste chances, we should be good.

We sorely missed Freddie Ljungberg last night - the closest thing we have had to Toffees' Tim Cahill since Wrighty. Professeur, I hope you are taking notes. We need a creative hustler upfront. There's little point in having wingers if you can't get bodies in the box.

AWOL back! I know we are an attacking team, but playing like we have virtual defenders is crazy. But for Almunia's acrobatics we would be wearing very different faces this morning. There was poor awareness at the back and our midfield barely got going.

On last night's performance, we'll need a small miracle to make the last four. Still we are in the last eight and my neighbour can sing his Anfield anthems all he likes .

Arsenal has become so unpredictable this season mpaka I am just holding my breath.

The beauty of the situation is that anything is possible hence we can keep our hopes up. Otherwise how do you explain beating the Russians and Manure and loosing to Hull and Fulham?

I couldn’t have put it better. Here's the remainder of the season.

Arsenal

Blackburn (aka New Bolton) (H, 14/3),
Newcastle (A, 21/3)
Man City (H, 4/4)
Wigan (A, 11/4)
Liverpool (A, 19/4)
Boro (H, 26/4)
Portsmouth (A, 2/5)
Chelsea (H, 9/5)
Man Utd (A, 16/5)
Stoke (H, 24/5)

Aston Villa

Spurs (H, 15/3)
Liverpool (A, 22/3)
Man Utd (A, 5/4)
Everton (H, 12/4)
West Ham (H, 18/4)
Bolton (A, 25/4)
Hull (H, 2/5)
Fulham (A, 9/5)
Boro (A, 16/5)
Newcastle (H, 24/5)

It would be great if Villa lost at least three of their next four games. And won't it be fantastic if Man Utd are drawn against Barca in the next round of the CL?

Those are some fantastic dreams. lol. If the spurs beat Villa, they can become our friends for one day only. lol

Our game against Roma, what can I say? We were poor, lucky(ref didn't see the penalty), and Roma players were all injured. Totti is such a diver. lol.

I don't like games that are decided by penalties or that go into extra time.

One arsenal fan was stabbed in the knee before the game.

Glad we progressed - up gunners!

now...now...now

Last night my heart jumped outta my chest into my head, into my stomach then down to my feet. By the time the match ended...I was MOST relieved but heeee heeeee ...woi woi. It was just too much for me to cope with. I wasn't even sure whether to be happy or just CRY?

I was most upset with Wenger, benching Eduardo till 84th minute, surely? nini hii?

Don't worry about Aston Villa, they cannot handle the pressure. I am not worried about 4th position, I am worried about being trophyless another season

We made it through because roma fu.cked up not because we deserved it and I am pissed....
