Huuaaah!!!

After the trebble, Leo Messi now trains his sight on the ultimate prize in football; the World Cup.

If Maradona doesn't exclude Messi from the game like the Argentinean 2006 coach, Jose Pekerman who left him out of the quarter finals against Germany, things might turn out differently.

Of course the Netherlands, Spain and Brazil are all heavy favourites but Argentina will be up to the task too. Barcelona wizard lionel messi sets sights on world cup glory with argentina - goal.com barcelona wizard lionel messi sets sights on world cup glory with argentina - goal.com

Although he is the best player in the world at the moment,he should forget it.
World cup belongs to the mighty Brazil.
And once in a while Italy,France and maybe next time Spain.(I think am wrong about Spain. They might never win it same as England)

Brazil all the way.

I am actually scared of Brazil. They look scary.

Today, they hammered Ecuador 4-0.

Also, don't overlook the Oranje. They have great talent.

I really enjoyed the Brazil -Uruguay match. Typical South American match, yaani those guyz are so fast mpaka it seems like you have more that 10 a side kwa pitch. Beatiful, sexy footie.

The stadium in Abuja was much much better than that one.

Mazee things are so scary for ARgentina. Things are elephant!

They might not qualify for the World cup.

They (we) next meet Brazil in Buenos Aires.

If Brazil wins, they qualify.

Maradona needs to be fired.

Yes, WAntai,

Brazil is playing well. I hate to say that.

It will be sad not to see Argentina in the WC. Mr. Wantai keeps saying that Maradona is on his way out. Yaani I wish them well nonetheless.

I am with your hubby.

Maradona needs to be fired right now as you read this but will he? I highly doubt that the AFA mafia will do it.

If Argy doesn't qualify, I don't know how my system will take it.

2006 coach Jose Pekerman in my view created an unbelievable team before he messed up with his subtitutions during the Germany quarter finals. I think he should be given a second chance but perhaps he is on to other things.

I have these teams as the ones that'll pose the greatest threat . They are not in any particular order.

1. Russia
2. England
3. Netherlands
4. Brazil (Looks very scary and is playing well of late).
5. Spain

I may have forgotten one more but these five teams will be a big headache for other teams in my opinion.

I dare predict that the 2010 world cup will be won by either brazil or an african team. We should all remember that it is only brazil which has won the world cup outside of its continent in 1958 (sweden) and 2002 (japan/south korea). Spain will continue to underperform in the world stage just like their great team of France 1998, which was beaten fair and square by Oliseh's cracker after to make it 3-2 on their way to elimination in the preliminary stage. The Dutch is no longer the dutch of the great Gullit, Rijkaard, Edgar Davies, Clarence, Kluivert. Van Basten's policy of no black players (Surinamese) has worked in ensuring the Oranje will always be a non contender...

The african teams to watch will be the black stars and the elephants. I believe the midfield of essien, sulley muntari, l. Kingston, kwadwo asamoah and appiah is capable of neuralizing even the best attack in the world. This got to be the best box to box mid field in the world right now. Asamoah gyan, junior agogo and quincy owusu should be able to finish off any chances (damn mario balotelli should have stood for the black star because with the azzuri, he shall be the 3 minute man like gerald asamoah with german). Mensah and paintsil with the support of sulley and essien should also be able to build the great wall around the defence.

The team that i will be supporting though will be the elephants of cote d'ivore, toure brothers (kolo and yaya), kone brothers (aruna and bakary), arthur boka, eboue, romaric, aruna dindane, kader keita, kanga kale, didier drogba, solomon kalou, guy demel, didier zokora, will be able to go toe to toe and head to head with any team even the likes barcelona dream team or barcelona 2008/2009 class or even the great brazil of 1970.

We should also not forget the 7th african team in the 2010 world cup, the blues, with team member having roots from several africa and afro-diaspora countries such as; mali, ivory coast, senegal, dr congo, french guyana, st. Martinique, algeria, cameroon, benin, morocco, tunisia. This is another team which may make africa proud!!!

Spain will be dangerous. I am watching them at the moment against New Zealand and they are up 5-0. El Nino is on fire. he he I guess the whole of Africa is in love with the premier league 'cos South Africans are chanting for Torres like crazy.

Maradona is not a good coach.
