I got green fingers but have never managed to see tomatoes to full maturity. Something always goes wrong. I'll just be happy to grow five plants but see them in full bloom

Five a very few. Actually my first nursery of around 4500 plants died, all of the died. I started over again and now they are doing good. An doing the Anna F1 from Seminis seeds.
1. Do not apply DAP on the nursery. 2. Make sure water the nursery until it drips down through the trays the first time you plant the seeds 2. Water the nursery daily in the morning. 3. After true leaves appear, tht's after like one and half weeks, kama kuna baridi piga hizo nyanya dawa ya baridi. 4. When planting, usimwagilie maji mob, ama maji kidogo zaidi, let it be moderate otherwise the tomato starts looking weard on the stem. 5. Link with an agronomist preferably from the HCDA who can come to your firm free of charge to check on the tomatoes progress and provide solution incases of a problem. For an agronomist, just call HCDA directly and the will be so willing to send someone. For commercial production, it would be good to go to their offices located pale Kenya Pipeline Ltd as you head to JKIA. Materials can be bought from Amiran, located next to Transami on the Old Airport Rd, or from Agrovet Shops in tao, next to Magret Wanjiru's church. Kama unataka kujenga greenhouse, tht's for commercial production in all weather, shout and nitasaidia mahali nitaweza. Kama kuna mkulima mwingine out there ama you know someone doing this kind of farming, tupatie some of these info plz... |

tembelea HCDA so that you can first get a professional introduction into how it works.
You can do it in two ways: Kiubabi, ama kikawaida. Tht's You can use the professional greenhouse costing aroung 160,000/= which inclues all the drip-lines, the polythene etc hadi greenhouse isimame. Or u can do it kienyeji like the other rural farmers and use wooden greenhouse to save on costs. But be careful of windy areas if you use this method coz the paper by go with strong winds. |
