well, i see u r hellbent on intimidating pple here with ur knowledge of i don't know what. u r recommending all the books there are as if anybody has all the time to read. some of us may not be experts in ur field but experts and professionals we are in OUR fields. so when writing, try to use simple and short english sentences with equally short and precise paragraphs. to be honest i'm not even able to finish half of anything u write without yawning and eventually giving up. this is not a writing competition that u have to write pages of boring essays nor is it a place to glorify urself with the showoff how much u know. cool the beans honeybunny and teach history, black history that is, to the kids if thats what u do. adios.

Now RD keeps mentioning this "Marshall Plan" as the cure for all diseases in Africa. Well the Marshall plan worked firstly under a political climate of looming nuclear rivalry (cold war) and also as she (RD) rightly points out need to dominate developed markets. (No wikipedia) This worked because these countries had already fairly developed economic systems.

African countries will have to do the following:
1. Keep growing at 5% + for the next 20yrs.
2. Once incomes reach at least $1500/capita, then the economies will be developed enough to absorb more: aid, investment
3. Also once incomes reach this (Swaggsie threshold) then the economy can save enough to invest in: human development, infrastructure, technology transfer (No wikipedia)

I notice too their "honesty" compared to their brethren. Who supported apartheid through it all.

Very sick thinking indeed. The question is-is this ancient history?

Just to deviate a bit (I won't start a new thread), it is amazing how vain we are as humans. At the end of you were born alone, and you will die alone.

Nobody gives much of a sh*it about you, nor do you really give a sh*it about anyone else. In between we pretend to unite in some sort of meaningful ideology, but the reality is that the only thing that makes sense in this universe is our own existence and survival..... and of-course our own death.
