Religion has the best bullsheit story of all time. Come to think about it; Religion has convinced people that there is an invincible man who lives in the sky. Who watches everything you do every minute of every day and the invincible man has a list of ten specific things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do any of these things, he will send you to a special place; of burning and fire and smoke and torture and anguish for you to live forever, to burn and suffer and scream until the end of time. But he loves you. He loves you and he needs money.

George Carlin is one of my all-time favorite stand-up comics. I love when he rips apart religion coz what he says is so true. The quote you just pasted came from this stand-up concert:

He has a very funny and dead true bit on why prayer just cannot work. Once you watch this clip, watch the other Carlin links on the right side. Hilarious!
