Default Scientology? - 06-01-2008, 03:51 PM

Say what?! Okay, firstly, since Mashada is boring right now I decided to write about Scientology. Here goes:
  • A person is an immortal spiritual being termed a thetan who possesses a mind and a body.
  • The thetan lived through many past lives and will continue to live beyond the death of the body.
  • Through a process called 'Auditing', people can free themselves of traumatic incidents, transgressions and bad decisions which collectively restrict the person from reaching the state of "Clear" and "Operating Thetan".
  • Each of the above states is said to represent the recovery of native spiritual abilities and to confer mental and physical abilities.
  • A person is basically good but becomes "aberrated" by moments of pain and unconsciousness.
  • Psychiatry and psychology are destructive and abusive practices.
  • Scientologists follow a sequence of courses that culminate in esoteric, advanced strata described as a passage along "the Bridge to Total Freedom" in which each step promises a little more personal freedom in some particular area of life.
  • The thetan spirit is described as having no mass, no wavelength, no energy and no time nor location in space except by consideration or postulate. The spirit is thus not a thing, it is the creator of things.
  • The mind in Scientology is described as a bank of mental image pictures that give the spirit experience and knowledge that store the spirits "postulates".
list is going on n on n...oh wait, they also believe Humans were put on Earth by Aliens, actually an Alien called Xenu who then stacked them (humans) around volcanoes and blew them up with hydrogen bombs. Their souls then clustered together, stuck to the bodies of the living and continue to do this today. Hubbard called these clustered spirits "Body Thetans," and advanced-level Scientologists place considerable emphasis on isolating these alien souls and neutralizing their ill effects!

i watched a documentary on it,and it was quite entertaining.I must say the creator of Scientology has a pretty wild imagination.almost sounds like a Star wars Movie.

The mainstay in scientology belief and thetans is the story of the extraterrestial Xenu who was a bad leader of the universe many million years ago. It so happened that the Universe was becoming overcrowded and his solution was to pack several space crafts (like jumbo jets) with the poor creatures.

On reaching earth, he put them atop mountains and proceeded to blow them up with some nukes. Their poor souls became the thetans.

Thats some crazy s.hit, wouldn't you agree?

Bad thoughts. We had debated with you against some precepts as practiced by that religion.
