Yes bible reader the weed is medicine,yet some insolent secondry school children stashed da herb in an inter schools traditional dance meeting in Bura,and all those who drank it including head teachers became very happy and hyper,that night students violated almost all the rules because there was no teacher conscious enough to tend them.

thing is, at the end of the day it wont matter who said what. the weed smokers will still find a corner and smoke regardless of what y'all said, and the church goers who believe smokin weed is a sin will not. let everyone do what they please, please.

This is a personal thing. We all want to be high so here is what I know about weed:

-It is the best and safest high ever.It is not addictive.

-However it can destroy you if you do not have a strong character. I will try and explain:

-Weed makes you think, see and feel powerful things! But you have to work at deciphering these rolling images and bouncy sounds!Are they only chemically induced?

If your mind is weak, the power you feel is quickly redirected into base thoughts like loose sex (pornography),gluttony, cheap and aimless entertainment, formless philosophy, sleepiness, lazyness, depression and doom.

It gets worse many times over if you mix herb with cigarettes, alcohol and other things.

Herb had two basic purposes in African culture:

a) As a source of pleasure for young men (ages 17 to about 25 or so years) as they relaxed after putting in some hard work. They were sort of allowed some harmless silliness for their contribution! Harmless respectful silliness. Understand this very clearly my friend!

African culture has generally looked disdainfully at those who continue to smoke herb beyond their formative years of adulthood. They are seen as fools who refuse to grow up and leave the pleasures of youth behind. Such people will generally mingle with guys even half their age dreaming and dreaming. This is sin in African culture.

b) The second purpose of herb in Africa is that many black people with strong minds have mastered their base desires and propensity to lethargy and find in herb a tonic that makes them connect with their divinity. Their "Inity with the Supreme Mind" so to speak.

These Africans smoke herb to relax and meditate. They do not smoke cigarattes and drink alcohol to try and get"even higher" because they know that is senseless illusional sin. They eat natural foods (not processed stuff) and excercise regularly.

They know that herb will not drive you to promiscuity unless you mix it with alcohol (the most dangerous drug of all) and/or let yourself get hooked to porn.

In a world that has been "globalized" economically for production and enrichment of a certain class of persons (i.e corporate titans), these Africans have found in their lifestyle with herb a way to resist and live natural lives. Not everybody wants to be a plastic cyberborg eating Macs, living in Ipod la la land and cyberspace and making a killing in wall street on unsurported debt papers!

Not everyone buys into the mind-numbing advertisements and action/porn movie marsh.

And I am not talking just black Africans but white ones too! Not all of us can have dreadlocks you know!

In short brother, do not jump in the water if you cant swim! Herb will not help you to study books.Herb needs wisdom and humility. Its not for gung-ho, lets go kill the gals kind of thing! It is serious.

The minute you smoke herb (mix it with impurities like cigs & booze)and let your mind wander to the base things I have mentioned, you will know you are sinning against yourself. That is why you asked this question.

Many thought it was a joke and gave you some silly answers. Yet it is remarkable because they (have) all smoked.
