Even a doctor needs some specifics to diagnose. Want to explain further??
Just because you've always done it that way, doesn't mean its not incredibly stupid.

Would you mind describing what exactly you are going through?

Hi Mariam,
It can be said with a fair amount of certainty that your surfacing on this thread is not an accident and has got something to do with WITCHCRAFT. Another poster has mentioned that it wouldn’t be clever to make either a diagnosis or prognosis of what ever your experience(s) may be but all in all, rest assured that you are not alone! There are a few points worth noting:
More often than not, experiences of witchcraft are nothing more than distorted reflections of ones own mind, ‘ caricatured and grotesque by fear’.
On other posts on this thread we see how witchcraft experiences are prevalent in the rural areas, among the poor and the uneducated. Why? In the rural areas people got ‘too much time’ to spend chitchatting, engaging in idle talk and spreading false stories; when some one mentions that he/she saw a ghost, it becomes virtually a scientific fact! Poor people’s lives are forever shrouded in speculation, fear and uncertainty, fear of people-places and things. The uneducated suffer and die of ignorance
Pastors and imams see this vulnerability and come along suggesting enticing alternatives like believe in Jesus, Believe in Allah and so. These guys are only looking for a means to survive and to build ideological fortresses to protect their interests. Truth is that face your fears squarely and everything else plus happiness will be yours, for it is only then that you will see that there was really nothing there to be afraid of in the first place.
If you fall (have fallen) prey to these pastors and imams’ talk, you are only replacing one fear for greater one, trust my wards!
The examined life is not worth living

Realistik Dreamer:infinite rubbish! what kind of argument is this infinitepyro!
Facts:
a)witchcraft/sorcery is practice of magic arts-an enchanter ( according to concise oxford dictionary)
-this thing was done in all societies till today (what do you call astrology as practiced by say nancy reagan?) -
b)The practice of the medicine men/healers is not synonymous with witchcraft-if they use scientifically coherent methods to heal illness:
like diagnosis, prescription (this could combine cultural-psychological aspects like chanting etc-but you as an educated rational person should discern/understandand the procedure)
in other words it is not magic.
The white scientists have known this and you will be surprised at how many capsules/tablets now come around to you civilized-like but are actually plagiarized ideas from "primitive" healers in africa & other places.-
c)in Tanzania where they speak kiswahili so beautifully the word "mganga" means doctor (whether the "western" type or the traditional healer. -
d) it does not mean that just because your elders believe(d) in witchcraft (magic practices whether for "good" or evil) you must automatically follow their delusions.
They have suffered unecessary fears and you as a schooled african must use your mind so that you will not pass on nonsence to your children! -
e) nobody since creation has ever been able to project himself astrally(beyond body) from where he is relaxing to another place.
this is pure fantasy-practice it all you like-till you drop.
you will still stay " hapo, hapo" -
f)for black africans to try and understand this "phenomenon" witchcraft/sorcery through their whitewashed judeo-christian or islamic prisms is like trying to see the light through a tightly wrapped, black blind fold: -
this is because these religions are in themselves conjured up fantasies of slaving cultures from europe & arabia- before they embraced science to explain phenomena.
g)-science still can not explain everything but it is amazing that for example you and I are just energy in another format.
E=MC2
in short my friend Infinitepyro,if you could blow up in a blast of outrage for example at why we africans are still so superstitious (from our own & foreign ideas) and your rage could surpass the speed of light squared-you would change into pure energy.
a nuclear blast like like the sun Ra!!
is this what your witch doctors can do?
we Black Africans must quit the easy ways of just singing, laughing, clowning, jiving, bluffing, compromising, integrating, token-hunting, begging, porn, hating self, tribal visions, vanity, praying to allah-white jesus without working, lottos, casino gambling, charity sweepstakes......
and embrace hard science & technology to explain the natural universe, grow food, clothe our people and build our homes.
Science & technology with classical Black African High Morals to make a better world than the west & arabs have done for the last 2700+years.

@ Realistik Dreamer,
It sounds like you're really interested in African culture and tradition. If you haven't already, you should check out this book: Of Water and the Spirit: Ritual, Magic and Initiation in the Life of an African Shaman by Malidoma Patrice Soma.
A publisher's comments reads as follows:
"Among the Dagara of Burkina Faso there is no distinction between the natural and the supernatural: The living converse with ancestral spirits, and those with the proper knowledge routinely travel to other worlds. Malidoma Patrice Some was born in a Dagara village, only to be abducted as a small boy and taken to a Jesuit mission school, where for fifteen years he was harshly indoctrinated in European ways of thought and worship. When he returned to his people, he had to undergo an initiation so rigorous that it might have killed him.
Instead, Malidoma's passage between two worlds resulted in an assignment to convey his people's knowledge to the West, leading to this book of rare healing wisdom. Of Water and the Spirit is a remarkable sharing of living African traditions, offered in compassion for those struggling with our contemporary crisis of the spirit. "
Some parts were really "spooky" but overall, it was an enjoyable read.

Ester Thanks for this-sounds like a book I read by Ben Okri (the title ecapes my memory) a novel about this little boy who was always on the verge of getting called by ancestors-a special child. His parents knew this and were always on the look out for him...........
See, when europeans came around here, they did not understand lots of the stuff they saw regarding African ways. Many are actually scientific (but within a socio-cultural setting).
For me everything must have a rational explanation-the days of conjuring up fantastic tales to explain things we dont comprehend must end..I will look up the book.
Regards.

First off, I'm referring to witchcraft in the "white ppl" sense of the word so save yo self-righteous Black Panther indignation bullsh*t. Read and understand, this thread is about the practice of supernatural acts with either go or bad intentions so your etymological sentiments are grossly misplaced.
Secondly, just because you personally have never astral projected doesn't mean no one can okay? Chinese Healers, Norse Seidrs & even traditional African medicine men used atral projection to predict the future. It's a phenomenon Scientists have been baffled by to the point of denying the possibility. Even the christian God acknowledges man's supernatural powers in His bible... Eff science, read sh*t for yoself.

Realistik Dreamer:
So you are one of these black people crawling around believeing in anything the white man transmitts into your tired mind! Whats your beef with the Black Panthers anyway?
Or are you a self-hating snitch-like low black rat trying to impress your whiteys that you are civilized. Moderate-like?Are you a republican bwoy?

This hardly deserves any response for your foolery is quite transparent.
Quick advice-not everything you read-not everything bound in a book is true.
Wish you luck in your astral projection meditations!
