Default rapture - 02-28-2008, 07:24 AM

"So why would the Bible speak of the greatest persecution that the world has ever seen if the Christians aren't gonna be there?"

Ndigila you sound catholic for sure, anyway my point is the 7 years of great tribulation talked of in revelation is for the remnants.Teh remnants will comprise of converted christians and the jews who rejected Jesus.

The massive disappearance of christians will trigger a revival for the atheists, and rebels who heard christian preachings but hesistated to be converted. They will come into terms with what they used to hear and this will mortivate them to be converted. But then during that period the anti-christ once on the top seat will persecute and kill anyone confessing that Jesus is Lord. The bible will be abolished and churches banned. So don't assume christians wont be there, they wil be there.

That's where the inconsistency lies. Revelation isn't addressed to the future 'remnants', its addressed to the current Christians. There is no rapture. Most Christians will be persecuted and killed during that period, then two witnesses (Elijah and Enoch) will return and witness to the Jews that Jesus is the messiah. Then the antichrist will commit the highest blasphemy and at then the second coming will occur.

The massive revival after the rapture is used to explain the inconsistency but even that isn't biblically or historically supported.

Well, I'm Orthodox, which is closer in similarity to catholicism than protestantism.

Creation consists of an infinite number of dimensions, wavelengths, frequencies, of
reality. This physical world is only one of them. These frequencies share the same
space that our physical world occupies, in the same way that all the radio,
television, and telecommunication frequencies broadcasting to your area are
sharing the same space that your body is occupying now. They don't interfere with
each other because they are on different frequencies or dimensions; they are
vibrating at different speeds. At the moment we call death, our mind-emotionsspirit,
everything that is the thinking, feeling us, withdraws from the body, the
'genetic space suit' as I call it. This eternal spirit moves on to another wavelength of
reality, another 'world', to continue its evolution. This is all that is happening
during a 'near death experience' or an 'out of body experience' when people leave
their physical bodies for a time before returning to tell remarkably similar stories of
what happened to them. Life is forever - for everyone there is no hell or heaven just that we are on a fast track to some intelligent life forms
