Default Belief in Naturalism and evolution at the same time is self-refuting - 01-22-2008, 01:02 PM

The famous Christian philosopher Alvin Plantinga in a recent lecture showed that naturalism and evolution are self refuting.
I am not sure if there is any atheist who does not belief in evolution.especially naturalistic evolution.i.e unaided without purpose.

According to naturalistic evolution, the human abilities to think and reason evolved to promote survival and not to produce true beliefs . Therefore, if a person assumes naturalistic evolution to be true, it doesn’t make sense to assume that human reasoning produces true beliefs.

So if naturalistic evolution is true, it doesn’t make sense to place any trust in any human reasoning—including the reasoning that leads to naturalistic evolution!

classic example of some of the logical incoherences atheists are ready to live with.

It is now well established that media creates and un-create fame and that no publicity is bad publicity. That said,

Human abilities evolve to promote survival and to establish truths. Add two atoms of hydrogen to one atom of oxygen you get a molecule of water, separate these and you get what you started off with. Now, this is the truth thought and reason has evolved to establish and whether one person trusts in this or not is his/her own persona non grata

All this is nothing more than word play.
