Default Kenyans Ignored call for Repentance - 01-20-2008, 01:23 AM

It is indeed said somewhere that we should not dispise prophecy, and God is not quick to send a calamity because a chance for repentance preceeds it.

Surely in kenya self-fishness had gone overboard.tribalism had invaded the corridors of church, greed and immorality had waxed strong.

Read the report below;

The current political crisis could have been avoided if the country had heeded a repentance call by televangelist, Dr David Owour.

Machakos DC, Mr John Litunda, said Owuor had called on the Church and the country to repent but his message was dismissed.

"What we are witnessing now has not just come out of the blues. Owuor had pronounced a special announcement three weeks into the election that the wrath of God will come down on the country unless it repented," said Litunda.

The born again Christian regretted that Owuor’s message was dismissed even by Church leaders.

He said Owuor had foretold that Kenyans risked becoming refugees in their own country.

He was speaking at Garden Hotel in Machakos during a farewell party in honour of the outgoing Machakos Chief Magistrate, Mrs Hellen Omondi, now a judge.

The DC said the country needs to organise a "national repentance".

Machakos LSK chairman, Mr Larry Wambua, led the gathering in observing a one-minute silence in honour of those who have lost their lives as a result of the post election violence.

Default Kenyans Ignored call for Repentance - 01-25-2008, 10:30 AM

The Lord, who never sleeps nor slumbers, has marked our wayward, stiff-neck, and non-repentant attitude. We are surely reaping what we have sowed for years and years. Our God is long suffering and He waits long for the erring to repent but alas, judgment must come. He is just and true. Nevertheless, I thank Him that even in judgement He is merciful.

We have seen nothing yet. It is only the beginning of the labour pangs! Kenya will probably learn a vital lesson at the crucible of affliction.

Yes, Kenyan have been warned so much to repent but they continue delighting in sinful things. The worst is the belief and adoration of false prophets and preachers who have concentrated in wealth and prosperity preaching instead of salvation. God will really be harsh but the Bible warns us to be weary of such preachers. I ask all Kenyans to judge them by their fruits.

Politics should not be mixed with religion, what we have in Kenya is a political problem which has evolved to encompass degradation of social standards in our society over the years. Is the devil to blame? Is God to blame? The blame lies with us.

Default Religeous, Political, Social etc - 02-21-2008, 10:41 AM

a.k.a. Let me tell you that Kenyans WE have gone against God. But Good News, it is Not too late, God 4gives, but Kenyans WE must confess, repent. We have to seek the truth, then do justice. God 4gives those sincerely humble themselves be4 Him. A man is religious, is political and social. All with man together. That mind which decides to revere God is the same which decides to vote, or even to live with others with love. No man can cheat God. Our sins: We kill, we misuse God's name even by swearing falsely, we despise others, we look down upon
other pple's cultures, we rob others wth violence, we do not wan't to embless the truth, we misuse the political powers, etc etc. Only those who wil stand by the truth will be protected. Startng wth M. Kibaki let all of us cry unto God to 4give us and save
us from an impending catastrophy. God bless Kenya.

Anywbody who can come here and tell us with a straight face that the current crisis in Kenya is due to "Kenyans ignoring God" is a facking ignorant fool - and a very dangerous one for that matter.

What is going on has absolutely nothing to do with any deity. Zero! And if god does exist, and he watched men burning down women and children in his holy place of worship, then he also needs to be questioned! And if he does exist, he knew for eons that what just happened would happen, and yet he did nothing about it!

BTW I can guarantee you that most of those involved in the killings say "Christian" when they're asked which religion they belong to!

Why does he need to be questioned?

Ndigila,

isn't it self-explanatory? If god cannot save children from the worst of deaths in his holiest place of worship, where will he save the children? Ama are you asking only because it's the god you believe in that's in question?

If it was a group that worshiped Baal or Osiris, and they were burnt down by fellow worshipers of Baal or Osiris, in a temple for the worship of Baal or Osiris, then I can bet that you would be questioning where Baal or Osiris were as it happened!

How do you expect God to intervene when he you failed to involve him in your problems.

Ndigila,
isn't it self-explanatory? If god cannot save children from the worst of deaths in his holiest place of worship, where will he save the children?

Let's assume that God exists, and he gives humans free will, and some humans choose to be bad. If God interferes with the free will because of the action of the bad humans, then are humans really free?
By the way, i'm in no way trying to justify the act of burning children. It is totally abominable

If it was a group that worshiped Baal or Osiris, and they were burnt down by fellow worshipers of Baal or Osiris, in a temple for the worship of Baal or Osiris, then I can bet that you would be questioning where Baal or Osiris were as it happened!

Well then, I guess you don't know me that well.
