Default What role can religion play in a conflict? - 01-14-2008, 07:37 AM

What is happening in kenya now has taught many lessons. We see that most prominent religious figures kept mum when election irregularities were raised and only responded when the violence was beginning to cool down.

I personally don't believe religion can fail in such critical moments.it is the indivduals at the top that have become partisan getting adsorbed into the complexes of tribalism.

If A equals success, then the formula is A = X + Y+Z. X is work. Y is play. Z is keep your mouth shut.

The interest of organized religion is to win over more soldiers in the name of saving souls. Religion just like tribalism and petit ethnic affiliations; polarize people, creates and exacerbate conflicts and can never solve them
