Are you a kenyan? If you are, are there kenyans where you live? If so I cant help you, if not say what state you are in, maybe some mashadites in your area can reach out to you or tell you where they gather.

No one can help you only u can help yourself, that is the harsh lesson you must learn.
Second, you must recognize the fact that where we (Every single being) are now, at this material moment is our home and our effort should be to find our own niche in that home. Assume you died now, (which is not what anybody would wish) but assume all the same that, a building collapsed, car or plane crashed, sickness, tornado who knows what; your remains may be flown back to Kenya or wherever but that really is not you anymore so your hopes and dreams of completing and returning ‘home’ have turned out false. Or say your circumstances change and people start becoming friendlier and you really start ‘making it’ which is what I envisage, your hopes and dreams of a hasty ‘return home’ have all vanished. Don’t fight evil because that gives it more power over you; just find your own niche, simple.
Third, note that not all non-blacks are racist; in fact you will find many black people (black skin white mask people) who’d rather alienate themselves from you, and many non blacks who find nothing wrong in associating with you.
Fourth, you must look within you and try to figure out if the problem is not you yourself. You may have been pressured by what you see and hear around you (this is not unique to you) that you now look at yourselve as being different, do not bulge; all this will seize to exist when you come to harmonize your mindset. Take courage and face the present and don’t rely on other people(if you can not help yourself how can others help you?), but look at the hero within you!
If you don’t make it, it’s your fault, if you make it it’s not your fault.
The examined life is not worth living

1. To your question "does God really exist" - my response is have you looked for Him? If so, where?
2. "everyone seems to be having a good life except me..." why are you comparing yourself with others? Do you know what they do to be what they are? Some are happy with what they have been stealing from others and some are doing drugs and seem happy? Is that the kind of happiness you want?
3. You need to find a church and start going to church. Make friends with Jesus and the rest will follow - 'seek the kingdom first and all will be added unto you.' Start by reading your Bible and it will lead you to a church that will address your needs including providing a 'church family.'
4. How can you trust God when you do not think He exists?
You need to get your act together and think rationally. Yes, God exists!

Its just culture shock.
One: Advance preparation is good, learning about where you are going and hopefully putting up with a kenyan whom you get along with. Learning THE TRUTH. That americans are individualistic and not ready to welcome you with open arms.
Two: Focus. What did you come to do? Learn. If you keep focusing on all those extraneous activities you will get sidetracked.
Its really not a question of whether God exists, just that you seem unprepared thats all.
Devil you are a liar and so is your mother in law

Working for the Master,
Do not be afraid,
Trials may befall you,
Never be dismayed,
Put your trust in Jesus,
Keep your armor bright

Steps of Those He Approves -
01-16-2008, 01:48 PM
The steps of those whom He approves
Are ordered by the Lord;
And though they fall, held by His hand,
They yet shall be restored.
I have not seen, though since my youth
Full many years have fled,
The saint forsaken, nor beheld
His children begging bread.
The children of the merciful
Find blessings kept in store;
Depart from evil and do good,
And live forevermore.
Wait on the Lord and keep His way,
And then, by Him approved,
Thy heritage shall still remain
When sinners are removed.
Mark well the perfect, upright man,
As still his years increase;
Behold his life, and thou shalt see
His journey end in peace.

does God really exist ?
No matter what people respond here, the only correct answer is none of us knows! Period!

You had to get that in there...au sio. Cannot let the deists get any inch.
All the advice being given here is absolutely true.
You must remember why you came here, let that be a driving factor.
You must engage yourself in different activities, join the african students association, find out where there are other kenyans.
You must also engage in different student club activities. Some caucasians will be racist but not all of them are. I have actually made some life-long causcasian friends. You have to take everyone has an individual and judge them like that, if you approach anyone with an already formed stereotype they are bound to react in an antagonist way.
Believe in yourself, I would say believe in God. Stay optimistic, cheerful, be generous, warm, kind and you will undoubtedly make some great friendships.

It is going to be alright -

Having had a taste of what you are going through, here is my 2 cents
First of all, God has not left you nor forsken you..
This is a precious moment you can use to learn to live with him without otherwise destructive social networks..
Get to the nearest church, that preaches christ(And is not gay..u never know with the Americans as I found out) and lives for him, white or black,or even kenyan..they may find you strange at first but in time you will be a valued member..
Not everything Kenyan is good...Do not neglect your brothers or sisters but do not live as if life will stop without them, but you need God in that man eat man society, keep what you came firmly in mind and perharps use the loneliness as motivation to finish whatever you came to do and get back, if you so wish..
There are good radio stations, televisions stations and web sites (since web is more readily accesible, that can help you spiritually..
Believe me, as your faith grows you will see some advantage of being alone, but it is always good to be in the company of spiritual people no matter their background....
Though I found AMericans to have good infrastructure, as compared to Kenya, their social skills if you ask me are wanting... Forgive them for that..and learn to live with it, and not to judge or be bitter about it
