Default Is murder in war a sin? - 12-01-2007, 02:11 PM

When american soldiers drop bombs that kill civilians the out cry is massive about loss of innocent lives. In military comunity its just part of war.But i would liketo hear diferent religious views about murders commited in war, whether it is sin or not.

YOU sin when you break God's commandments.

No War is not murder and it is not sin.During war times ,the war laws would apply and the soldiers will be exempted as long as they act according to command.Take for example the story of soul in the bible, soul sinned because he failed to obey God's command. They were suppose to attack their enemy and not touch the spoils of the war,but he enriched himself.

It can be sin if the soldier commits atrocirties such as mass slaughter of civilians.
