Default Is religion hereditary..... - 11-28-2007, 06:02 AM

My main question is .... should an offspring inherit religiouse beliefs, from his/her parents... I have seen more than one person who will attest to following certain religiouse beliefs, because:
  1. This is all they have known since childhood, been exposed to among relas and friends, and thus ended up maintaining the same ideologies, and thus the same religiouse beliefs...
  2. Their parents belonged to such and such Kanisa, and taught them the values of this following. and since their wazazis were such and such they too are this....
  3. They are afraid to try other religions because, ....maybe it is unchated territory..., or the other religion is wrong...
Ooh I guess what I am asking to those willing to answer further is,
"Is there an Inheritable faith/religion Gene in the human Genome....and where is it located?"

religion is not a phenotype or genotype...i think that was rather unclever question.
kids take after their parents. they have empty glasses that are filled with experiences that they go through..its up to the parents to fill those glasses in their youth years.

Manzee I didn't mean to infuriate you...thats why, I left the second question to those willing to think further..... and by the way I am not the inventor of the idea (Read the works of DR Dean Hammer, genetisist with the american cancer Institute), but rather brought it our to get pipz reburtalls. Kwahivyo I would have to disagree and say, the question is both clever and warranted.....Now please if you can, nipe maoni yako...

1. get some 2 religious people to mate, then take the baby and abandon it
(with supplies) in some remote place..i assure you you won't find him clapping
his hands on sunday morning.

some people switch from being religious to nothing at all...what happened? -
did they remove their genes?

religion has got nothing to do with genes...its psychological at best.

its Dean Hamer, by the way...
