And this so called Time is the root cause of all evil.
Wen u look ata clock wot do u c? U c time. I get wot ur explainin, tht time is not real. Yes it is not real, it is imaginary but does exist 2 serve in measurin endles days n nights 2 infinity.

Take 4 example longitudes n latitudes or even the axis. Ofcos thea r no literal lines splicin the globe in2 cubes, these lines r imaginary. But they help pinpoint a location n in so doing exist for that intent n purpose.

N if time s the root cause of all evil it must surely exist 2 do so dnt u think?

Yes, It's truly unbelievable that modern human evolution and all it's accompanying evil is shaped by time delusion.
I don't believe the above argument holds any water, it seems to be pointing at the vague, illogical and obscure claim that 'everything exists' and I think it's nothing but a plot to keep people on a Mary-go-round.Putting on a wedding ring does not make some one married, or does it?
When some one looks at a clock and see 9:00pm for example, the pointers, or electronic signals we see are simply measuring it's own movement (Which is always =0) and nothing else

By ‘Exist’ what does it mean? Exist is a verb derived from the Latin ward ‘existere’, meaning to appear, or emerge or stand out. The word 'exist' is certainly a gramatical predicate, but philosophers have long disputed whether it is also a logical prdicate. Some philosophers claim that it predicates something called 'existence' of the subject. Thus 'four-leaved clover exists' predicates 'exists' of the subject 'four-leafed clover'. Cognates for this predicate are 'is real', 'has being', 'is found in reality', 'is in the real world' and so on.And by all definitions, time does not fall under any of these.

To insist that time exists because it’s a measure is also to state that God exist because he is creator. Measure, just like creator are descriptions which are them selves only supported by gramatical definitions. In the same respect, to say HUH? or type R mean nothing in themslves untill a logical explanation is attached.
Wikipedia states:
Quote:
defining time in a non-controversial manner applicable to all fields of study has consistently eluded the greatest scholars.
I believe only a person who has come to the full realization of the non- existence of time can live life to fruition. To come to this realization is like a rebirth, a sudden understanding that I am in eternity, to come to the sudden awareness that neither the sky nor time is my limit!

Default African's time - 02-27-2008, 08:00 AM

Let’s now face time and the african.
Many people, including some great african thinkers and philosophers believe the african’s present lack of grasp of the concept of time is a hinge factor why africa is regressing. Could this lack of basic understanding of the concept of time be the reason why african leaders ‘kind of’ always ask for constitutional amendment to make way for more time to finish the unfinished work?

How does the african understand time? is time really relevant to the african? does the african plan? John S. Mbiti states that for africans, "time is a two-dimensional phenomenon, with a long past, a present and virtually no future. The linear concept of time in western thought, with an indefinite past, present and infinite future, is practically foreign to african thinking".

The ugandan philosopher Ernest Beyaraza believes the african’s concept of time has been buried in the historical distortions of racism, colonialism, and 'development' for too long.

What does the ‘white man’ know about the african’s understanding of time?
At the cheik anta diop university in dakar, senegal on 26 july 2007 the RACIST french president Nicolas Sarkozy said "...the tragedy of africa is that the african man has never really entered history. The african peasant has known only the eternal renewal of time via the endless repetition of the same actions and the same words. In this mentality, where everything always starts over again, there is no place for human adventure nor for any idea of progress." he added: "africa's problem is that its present is permeated with nostalgia for the paradise of its lost childhood..." what does he mean?

Is there any such thing as african’s time??

Default Equation of life - 03-11-2008, 06:23 AM

Time has been the object of our discussion for some time now and the following observations can be made.
  • Time is not real; it is a nonentity and has no bearing on the physical world.
  • Time is self-descriptive.
  • It is unimportant for a man to know what time it is unless pushed by certain ‘environments’ to make plans.
  • A man can accurately recall and predict events without any knowledge of established time scales.
  • The totality of Past + present = Future, exist now

And, the understanding of ‘time concept’ whichever way one sees fit is crucial to our appreciation and (or) prediction of both the quality and quantity of life.
