If you like to think and perhaps scrutinize issues beyond the surface, perhaps as deep as the very fibers that hold a concept/theory/philosophy together, then maybe you are familiar with this so-called "New-age" movement. It is perhaps the domanating religion in our generation today, even more popular than CHristianity and other organized religions. For those of you who perhaps have considered the decimating implications of the New-age movement and it's consequences, please feel give me your thoughts on this. Here are a few questions;
-What are your thoughts on the new age movement?
-Do you think it has numbed our generation's morallity?
-Do you think it is the cause of the degradation of our generation?
-Do you think television has to do with it?
-Does the media play a strong part in influencing our minds and perhaps spreading the gospel of the new-age movement?
-In your thoughts, how does or why do Eastern religions and the concept of meditation tie into the new-age movement?
-Do you think it is a vehichle that promotes satanism, individualism, and secular humanism, among other philosophies/cults/religions?
Yeah, I know some of you are thinking I should have posted this in the Religions department and all, but this is not about religion, but philosophy and perhaps to get you, the audiance, to critically think a little bit. If you have more to add, just say it in here. And please, only respond of you have something reasonable to say, and don't try to kidnap this thread. I'm sure there has to be some of you out there who thinks at the same depth I do, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. Let me know. Thanks, family.
PS- Whitehead, If you read this, I know you'll have something to say about this, and I'd love to hear it.
