I didn't mean to imply that "the ends" justifies "the means", which seems to have been the case.

Ours and a couple of generations before, however, were born into "the ends" part of it...and i think that dwelling upon the (perhaps nasty) history of how these things started distorts the bigger and main picture of it all, which lies in Islam AND Christianity themselves...
