Default Do we really care what happens to us? - 11-20-2006, 12:48 AM

What do you guys think about the intense media focus on climate change siku hizi? Is it just hype, ama is there something to the claims being made?

One thing I know for sure is that we're not doing a good job looking after planetary resources. (Whether or not this is linked to climate change is a subject of heated debate that I'm not interested in getting into- I'm not a climatologist.)

If religions such as Islam and Christianity, which emphasize man's role as the steward over all creation, are so widespread, shouldn't environmental conservation should be top on the religious agenda? Ironically, it is. So why don't we ever talk about it?
