RE: Is your faith real or bogus? -

Me I say,why if the commandments are still applicable to you are you just choosing 10..You have the whole decalogue, all 600 and something of them..
If you are saved coz of observing the sabbath, which is still saturday for sure, then you better be sure that you know what christ did for you in the cross..
As brothers, it is not in us to talk in deplorable language in the hope of defending our point,or are We?
Let me ask, if Jesus comes back on a day in which you have just broken one of the commandments, say the sabbath, will you go to heaven or hell?

>80 question sabbatarians dont like being asked
> http://www.bible.ca/7-sabbath-questions.htm
I have gone through these questions and my oh my, I could not help concluding that the person who shoots these questions is either a biblical novice or reads the book as a past time and not for spiritual gain. Let us do a random picking of the questions. Take question 1 for instance.
1. If every man from Adam to Moses kept the Sabbath, why is the Hebrew word for the weekly Sabbath found in the ten commandments, never found in the book of Genesis? Why is no one before Moses ever being told to keep the Sabbath. Why are there no examples of anyone keeping the Sabbath?
I have time and again said that we need to read all the scripture comparing one book to another. Anybody doing this Knows perfectly well Gods requirements in OT and equally knows that Enoch was a man who exceedingly pleased God until God hindered the fangs of death from harming him. We are told he varnished in thin air. God simply took him. He was weighed and found blemishless .
Reading through the commandments it is easy to see that if they were not applicable at Enochs or Adams time then Cain was not guilty of Murdering his brother. Again the great floods of Noahic period would simply tell us that God punished innocent people! It would have been impossible for Enoch himself to please God for he would not know Gods requirements/standards.
If I may frame a question of my own. Is the writer insinuating that pre-mosaic people were living lawlessly?
Q3
3. If the fact that God wrote the 10 commandments on stone proves they are forever, then whatever happened to the two stone tablets that God gave Adam at the beginning of time? Why is Moses the first one to see a stone tablet written by the finger of God?
This is a silly query. One that is meant to provoke and to not to seek honestly for truth. First of all Adam was never granted any stones tablets with commandments written on them that is why Moses is the first one to see them on stone tablets.
4. Why is the weekly Sabbath commandment never quoted in the New Testament?
When Christ was asked by the young man what he ought to do to inherit the kingdom of God. The answer was straight forward. The savior directed him to honor the same commands that someone is telling us that are not quoted in the NT. How many times do we see Christ in the synagogues on Sabbath? Luke even goes to say that as his custom he went into the temple on Sabbath.
5 Why is the Sabbath the only one of the ten commandments that are said to be "throughout your generations", the usual phrase that indicates it was a temporary ceremonial law only for the Jews?
First of all this guy who TM is religiously quoting is badly lacking in English language. The terms throughout your generations has no limit as far as the descendants of these people are concerned. Therefore the Sabbath is to proceed even unto the end. Doesnt Christ say so Himself, that Not even a letter shall be omitted from the laws until the end
Christ Has commanded us to spread his word in the world. In his word is embedded the doctrine of love of which is the foundation of the 10 commandments. We have previously seen the manner in which he Summed the decalogue. TM which word are you teaching then if you dont even know the foundation of Love. Omera, njia ya mwongo ni fupi. Na yako imefikia ukingoni.
6&7 If Pauls action of preaching to non-believers 84 times in the book of Acts on the Sabbath make him a Sabbath keeper, is a Seventh-day Adventist pastor a Sunday keeper if we invite him for 84 Sundays in a row to teach us about Gods word?
Again this is a deliberate attempt to rubbish the scripture and excellent display of ignorance.
ACTS 17: 2 says, And Paul, as his MANNER was, went in unto them, and three Sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures.
As His manner , as his custom, as usual Paul went to synagogue in Sabbath.. May I further add the writer clearly lacks historical know how of the event taking place in that period. Remember the Pharisees loathed Christ and his followers. It would therefore be impossible for Paul to Initiate Sunday worship and more so conduct those services at the synagogues. The fella would have been stoned to death. This writer has also forgotten that Paul was Pharisees before He met Christ who opened his eyes and changed him from a legalistic maniac into an obedient, spiritual servant of God. No where in his meeting with Christ is he told to preach the Sunday observance.
When Pauls enemies accuse him of turning the world upside down, none of them points a finger at him for Changing the Sabbath, because he did not. Does the author think that, it is the only in the NT that people are worshipping on any other day of the week. If Pauls action on Sunday would warrant Sunday observance then I guess we should also observe other days of the week because Anna, Prophet Samuels mother in the OT continuously spent her time in the synagogue asking God for a child.
I could go on and on to, but I leave the rest of you to also scrutinize these queries. I have seen nothing to answer to, that should worry any bible reading follower of the Lord.
Behold Satan is wroth with ye who seek the truth, ye the remnants, ye who keep commandments and have faith in Jesus, and has gone into the world to make war again thee. Beware of false prophets who cover their identity under the sheep skin. Ye surely know that not everyone who says Lord, Lord shall enter, for Satan knows the scriptures and twists them to confuse thee. But as Jesus rebuked him we shall with one accord that , it is written thou shalt serve no any other God
Amen1

Another liar in the house. Do you really know what the decalogue means?
When did TEN = 600?
What bible do you people read?
Like Luther I repeat the bible and the bible alone is the basis of sound doctrine.
I Sure do know what he did on the cross and no am not defending a point am pointing to you my beloved kinsmen what the scripture says.If the double aged sword is harming you sorry. Learn to take it with humility. Only a fool refutes wisdom.

>Let me ask, if Jesus comes back on a day in which you have

You say this because you do not know what is written in your bible about his coming.
I want you to go do a thoough research on this phrase "Let him is sinning sin still and let him who steadfast be steadfast still."
Peter, the last time i ran a check on the meaning of brotherhood it still had got something to do with Kinsmanship and with it love was abundant and Christ says that if you Love me ye will abide in my father's love and if ye abide in my fathers love then you must abide in his commandments. Isn's that appearing somwhere in your bible? See The Gospel of John.
Of course you are my brother in the lord if ye do likewise!
Lastly Peter, In your bible in the book of Revelation is written about the two witnesses of God.Find out who they are and come bak to me.
"Oh come now and let us reason..." thou says the lord.

I would like to learn just one thing from you: Did you receive the Spirit by observing the law, or by believing what you heard?
Assuming your answer was the 'Spirit' .... After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?
Does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you because you observe the law, or because you believe what you heard?
Why do you choose to ignore some laws and then baptize them 'ceremonial laws'?
REMEMBER
The Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham
All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law." Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith." The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, "The man who does these things will live by them."

TM I think you and peter have some serious difficulties in understanding what am saying. DO not make a scapgoat out of the Spririt of God, My friend, because nowhere in the bible does the Spirit authorises anybody to dump the 10 Commandments. I gather you just dont read my posts. Do you?
It is very clear in the bible that we have so many spirits, others being cunning subtle and deceptive evil spirits, so you tell me which one you are talking about. But if you are talking about the Spirit of God then I think you better beleive the 10 commandments are very much alive and kicking. If you think otherwise then better know this
That There won't be anyone in heaven who is not a commandment keeper. How do we know this?
Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
The spirit that does not emphsize on what Christ taught is a vague spirit and that is why even Christ himslef taught us to test every spirit. AM testing the one in you and it is lacking. NOTE you can only test the spirit with full use of the bible and not bits of it.
TM do not follow blindly all the supposed "Christian materials" that is splashed on the web. You run a risk of being misled.

Brethren, it's a wonder to me that some still find time and place for such arguments as the one about the Sabbath day and what day of the week it is! Have we become such idlying busy-bodies? Ought we not to rather engage, indeed exhaust, ourselves with the much needed teachings and discussions on holiness, and godliness? Let us be careful lest, after proving and being assured of the true Sabbath, we be found corrupting it through unholy living. "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy..."

I agree with you EZE.
its just that if a denomination is founded on the basis of when sabbath is, they can't talk much about anything else.

In reference to the commandments and the spirit, then I would refer teejeay to galatians 3, Romans 1-8, and Colossians 2..
Colossians two mentions the sabbaath explicitly, teejay, please correct me If I am wrong but it seems it is no longer about observing the sabbath, but about Christ, and faith in him.
Also about the two witnesses,I would only be speculating, I tend to think it is Moses and Elijah, as they also seem to represent the law and the Prophets...
But if it is ,then it just goes to show that the salvation passage of romans 3 14-24 is all good ..The one which says that ...But now the righteousness of god without the law is evealed, being witnessed by the law and the prophets ,even the righteousness of God which is by faith of jesus christ, unto all and upon all that believe for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God,being Justified freely by his grace through the faith of Jesus christ, whom God has set forth to be a propititation through faith in His blood, to declare st this time his righteousness......
You have to accept your fallen nature to accept that you need christ..And the law was there to show us just how guilty we all are

I see that many of you critics of Sabbath, dont get my simple messege. All the quotes you pass me here I read and have good knowledge of them. But what I have found out is that most of you think of the legalistic apsect of the Sabbath. And that is not what I mean. I first prepared the above thread to show my fellow brothers that laws of God are not dead as most evengalical churches now teach in their pulpits.
I am now in the process of preparing a new document with detailed information about true Sabbath and its signicance and why it is still important. None of you critics of Sabbath seem to be noting that I have previously in simple terms say that THE TRUE PURPOSE AND FUNCTION OF THE LAW , WITH REFERENCE TO SINFUL MAN, MUST BE RESTORED IN THESE LAST DAYS AS PART OF THE EVERLASTING GOSPEL WHICH IS TO BE PREACHED TO EVERY NATON, KINDRED AND TONGUE, AND THE PLACE OF LAW IN THE GOSPEL IS TO CONVICT FALLEN MAN TO THE ABSOLUETE SINFULNESS OF THE FLESH SO THAT WITHOUT A SAVIOUR IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PRODUCE GENUINE RIGHTEOUSNESS. You and me are sating the same thing only that your perspective is kidogo distorted. Faith aye! Spirit oh yes.
UNTIL THEN HOLD ON TO YOUR FALSE IDEA THAT THE LAW IS VAGUE.
