In 1998. If we are ashamed of proclaiming Him, He will deny us before the father...

there's no african context, its individual.
there those who fit him, and those who don't. the ones who don't like to yap alot about something their not involved it
i don't understand how TM and Mkenya can pin point a specific time. what was it that happened when you were 13 (TM) and in '98 (mkenya)...and what were you doing before?
i've never tried a life without christ...at least not seriously.
i didn't stutter.

At that specific time, I made a delibrate decision/choice to ask God to take control of my life. I acknowlegde my sin and asked for His forgiveness ...... and then I told Him that I could not live my life without His help .....then I invited him in.
before then ...... I was spiritual dead with no 'connection' with him .... along I did was 'play religion'.

Today is a wonderful day for you to invote him to be seriously in your life.

Yes it does, and I find your rebuke to be shallow in that you equate africannes with dressing and life choices. The japanese adopted the western way of dressing, but chose to retain their cultre and religion. What is so difficult with that that an african must always run to a religion that in itself condems him to servitude and false hope.
A brainwashed person has a problem being himself and would always look for justification and acceptance from others, and that person is you cookie. Take a deep breathe and hope heaven and hell do really exist...or reminesce over those fond primary school memories where your history teacher will pass you for answering "correctly" that a white man discovered mount Kirinyaga or drawing Jesus as a white blond and Satan as a darkie.

When i was like 8/9 years i saw a vision of Jesus in the sky and from that day i knew that He was always going to be with me. I had commited myself to Him before then but from that day more than ever i knew that He was always looking out for me. I love Him not because He loves me but because He's worth loving.

PitPit,
to add onto Reggie's question - if it's a vision of Ganesh (the Elephant-headed Hindu god) you had seen, would you now be a devout Hindu?
