Remember What Happened Here
Gaza is freed, yet Gaza wages war. That reveals the Palestinians' true agenda
By CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER
Posted Sunday, Jul. 2, 2006
Israel Invades Gaza. That is in response to an attack from Gaza that killed two Israelis and wounded another, who was kidnapped and brought back to Gaza ...which, in turn, was in response to Israel's targeted killing of terrorist leaders in Gaza...which, in turn, was in response to the indiscriminate shelling of Israeli towns by rockets launched from Gaza.
Of all the conflicts in the world, the one that seems the most tediously and hopelessly endless is the Arab-Israeli dispute, which has been going on in much the same way, it seems, for 60 years. Just about every story you'll see will characterize Israel's invasion of Gaza as a continuation of the cycle of violence.
Cycles are circular. They have no end. They have no beginning. That is why, as tempting as that figure of speech is to use, in this case it is false. It is as false as calling American attacks on Taliban remnants in Afghanistan part of a cycle of violence between the U.S. and al-Qaeda or, as Osama bin Laden would have it, between Islam and the Crusaders going back to 1099. Every party has its grievances--even Hitler had his list when he invaded Poland in 1939--but every conflict has its origin.
What is so remarkable about the current wave of violence in Gaza is that the event at the origin of the "cycle" is not at all historical, but very contemporary. The event is not buried in the mists of history. It occurred less than one year ago. Before the eyes of the whole world, Israel left Gaza. Every Jew, every soldier, every military installation, every remnant of Israeli occupation was uprooted and taken away.
How do the Palestinians respond? What have they done with Gaza, the first Palestinian territory in history to be independent, something neither the Ottomans nor the British nor the Egyptians nor the Jordanians, all of whom ruled Palestinians before the Israelis, ever permitted? On the very day of Israel's final pullout, the Palestinians began firing rockets out of Gaza into Israeli towns on the other side of the border. And remember: those are attacks not on settlers but on civilians in Israel proper, the pre-1967 Israel that the international community recognizes as legitimately part of sovereign Israel, a member state of the U.N. A thousand rockets have fallen since.
For what possible reason? Before the withdrawal, attacks across the border could have been rationalized with the usual Palestinian mantra of occupation, settlements and so on. But what can one say after the withdrawal?
The logic for those continued attacks is to be found in the so-called phase plan adopted in 1974 by the Palestine National Council in Cairo. Realizing that they would never be able to destroy Israel in one fell swoop, the Palestinians adopted a graduated plan to wipe out Israel. First, accept any territory given to them in any part of historic Palestine. Then, use that sanctuary to wage war until Israel is destroyed.
So in 2005 the Palestinians are given Gaza, free of any Jews. Do they begin building the state they say they want, constructing schools and roads and hospitals? No. They launch rockets at civilians and dig a 300-yard tunnel under the border to attack Israeli soldiers and bring back a hostage.
And this time the terrorism is carried out not by some shadowy group that the Palestinian leader can disavow, however disingenuously. This is Hamas in action--the group that was recently elected to lead the Palestinians. At least there is now truth in advertising: a Palestinian government openly committed to terrorism and to the destruction of a member state of the U.N. openly uses terrorism to carry on its war.
That is no cycle. That is an arrow. That is action with a purpose. The action began 59 years ago when the U.N. voted to solve the Palestine conundrum then ruled by Britain by creating a Jewish state and a Palestinian state side by side. The Jews accepted the compromise; the Palestinians rejected it and joined five outside Arab countries in a war to destroy the Jewish state and take all the territory for themselves.
They failed, and Israel survived. That remains, in the Palestinian view, Israel's original sin, the foundational crime for the cycle: Israel's survival. That's the reason for the rockets, for the tunneling, for the kidnapping--and for Israel's current response.
If that history is too ancient, consider the history of the past 12 months. Gaza is free of occupation, yet Gaza wages war. Why? Because this war is not about occupation, but about Israel's very existence. The so-called cycle will continue until the arrow is abandoned and the Palestinians accept a compromise--or until the arrow finds its mark and Israel dies.

Americanized remember when I said that this mid east thing is religious and has got nothing to with Gaza.
The whole thing is being stages managed by people who the world thinks are Holy people. The whole turmoil in mid east is meant to cause extreme and absolute affliction. Remember this region is of importance to three major religions. These religions are in one way or another have ties with other people worldwide. People who hold ranks in the society. Touch the Arabs and you stir up the loyalties of other Arab nations and their allies. This can in turn can cause shortage of oil products, and negative effect on the world economy at large. As such when the region is in strife all the connections are aggrieved when the region is enjoying peace the world is happy.
The people behind this know it very well and by continuing to aggravate the turmoil in the region through whatever means they are hoping that the world will be so conditioned that we will begin to cry for a peace maker. Who in the world of late had been called a peace? And who in the world has sought to restore their temporal power through the years over the whole universe. None, none other the Holy See otherwise known as Vatican.
When papacy finally arrives there (mid east), It will peach a camp at the temple that is either still under construction or is done with. From there He will rule the region and the world at large. Mission accomplished. The purpose for which the Jesuit was established will be done.
This is beyond the Arabs and the Israelites. Only God will bring lasting peace. No amount of round table talks will calm the region. Vatican is bent on achieving her purpose. That She must rule the world. That the black pope urges her to assert her reign upon the world is a reality. She must lift her banners as the prophecy declares.
Dan: 7:25: And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
Also see Rev 13.
Very soon Sunday Law will become reality in most nations.
The events that are happening in the mid east are just but signs of times. Are you ready my brothers and sisters? The bible tells of the papacys reign as terrible.

@teejay
I've heard some ridiculous and far fetched conspiracy theories in my lifetime, but that has to be by far the most absurd. Just to make sure that I've gotten this right, are you saying that the ongoing conflict in the middle east is part of the pope's 'master plan' to rule the world???

Yes Death.
Another reason The Vatican must be enjoying the whole is because some centuries ago The Moslems were supposed to had Jerusalem to the Pope after conquering it, but that they did not. It is obviously revenge time. And the Vatican cannot hope to achieve her goals in any other way than to put to use the world's most powerful nation. Nowonder the US wont leave the Mid east any time sooner.
Death, study that I have been doing about the book of Revelation has lead me to arrive at America as the beast with lamb like Characters who later changes to speak like a dragon! The change in her character is what we currently see. America is propagating war than peace, which is reminiscent of her former persona. She pokes her nose authoritatively in every nations business. Thus she has continued to magnetically attract more foes than allies.
The Vaticans history is littered with ills that have resulted out of her fornication with powerful worldly kings. All this is because she wants to impose her authority on humankind. She is bidding hard for Satan himself because Satan is the one that seeks to have man under his banner. He is the one who does the exact opposite of every Good thing that God has intended for us. His intention is to have us under his spell so that we can omit God from our lives
I dont expect you to believe this but I would like you to spare some time and get on with some serious study of the times that we are currently leaving under. Nothing has predicted these times with such unmistakable accuracy as the bible. Of course am not saying that you confine yourself to the bible alone in your research but peruse through historical archives and political authors etc. You will be surprised just like I am. Then you will begin to see Gods greatness. And that his word can never fail. It is worth reading this book that many over the years have dismissed as of no use.
Soon all will know that this is the ultimate word of God.

Your conclusions are so far off, unsupported, misinformed and inevitably just down right absurd, that I don't even know where to begin. I suggest using sources like say
.the NEWS! Rather than the book of revelations. I will however leave you with this one reality.
The people that hold power and influence with regards to US policy in the Middle East are the religious right, which primarily compromises of members of various protestant denominations (people that use the same words of demonization and apocalyptic scares that you just used). Funnily enough though, the motivation behind their acts, is the same 'book of revelations' which like you, they've interpreted to believe that this is a necessary prelude to 'the second coming...go figure!
The reality is that if you put your hatred aside (something I just don't understand about you Christians), the fact is that though they've done their fair share of political manipulation in the past, currently the Catholic Church is definitely one of the more politically docile churches, only rearing their heads during political issues such as abortion and gay marriage.

Contrary to your assumption that my conclusions are far-fetched and unsupported (the list goes on), I would like to drill it into your head that I also do read other materials that have legitimate sources and from credible authors. In this age of cyberinfo it would be absurd for you to assume that I only confine myself to the bible. To tell you the truth I am a Christian with a difference. Am not bragging, dont get me wrong there. But the fact is that as opposed to other Christians who are homophobic about unchristian literature I peruse them. To come in contact with such materials only strengthens me spiritually.
>The people that hold power and influence with regards to US

This is precisely why am telling you to research abit more. There is need to find out why it is the Protestants who are acting this way now. I m glad that you have noted one thing though; That THE PEOPLE THAT HOLD POWER AND INFLUENCE WITH REGARDS TO US POLICY IN THE MIDDLE EAST ARE THE RELIGIOUS. You just dont realize the magnitude of what you have said. Did you know that all this is the bible? I guess not, judging by the manner in which you vilifying my works of study.
I will from next week Monday furnish you with a list of books from which you will draw useful conclusion on this subject. But before I do that here are Hint that will equally compel you to do more research to arrive at the truth. Look up the CFR (council for foreign Relations) and find out who are the members of this group and what their real activities are. Again run another look up of the JESUITS (a supposed religious group, whose first allegiance is to the pope not God) The CFR and the Jesuits are joined at the Hip. And lastly Look up a day when for the first time in the US history an incoming president was sworn in outside in the open while facing an obelix (that president is Ronald Reagan). Find out why it happened that way. One more hint, go religious and try to find out anything about Catholism and Protestant Union in the 90s and go through the declaration of that concordat.
Let me take you through the passage that talk bout that. While I am still gathering the facts on that same passage I will like you to ponder over it.
Rev:13:11: And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
Rev:13:12: And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
Rev:13:13: And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
Rev:13:14: And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make AN IMAGE to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
>The reality is that if you put your hatred aside (something I

>though they've done their fair share of political manipulation
>in the past, currently the Catholic Church is definitely one
>of the more politically docile churches, only rearing their
>heads during political issues such as abortion and gay
>marriage.
I have noting against Innocent Catholics. By the way the many a follower of Roman Catholic hardly know these things. In their thousands they go to worship every Sunday oblivious of these facts. In their midst there are true children of God just like in every other denomination. Belonging to this or that church is not an automatic pass through the gates of heaven, but the type of relationship that exists between one and his maker. It is the echelons of this church that initiated and has continued through the ages to tarnish its name. I refute your claim that Catholism is more docile. The statement is rather unfounded. It may be well of you to take note of the saying that affirms the depths of still waters. Dont be deceived by that docility
Question to you Death.
1. Can a docile church continue to claim infallibility of man?
2. Can a docile church change the laws of God whom it claims to worship, and uphold them as if they were holy and better yet claim that the church is above the bible? Of course you are aware of the implications such a statement. That this church does not draw its teachings from the bible! How sad for masses that troop its temples in their droves every weekend.
3. Can a docile church claim that a mere man is God or that a mere man hold the place of God on this earth?
4. On what points do you base your judgment that the Catholic Church is docile considering that it has not relinquished the above claims?
And Death, please use another handle because if you continue to deny facts am just going to assume that it has something to do with your handle. In death one is unconscious of what goes on around him. Their thoughts and actions perish with them. Perhaps that is why you cant fathom what am telling you. It sounds like a dream far off. Wait until it gets off foot.
Dear brothers and sisters I hope that this is not just between me and Death, but also all of you that are following with keen interest. You may also put in your proverbial two cent.
A great Englishman Churchil once said that most people stumble upon the truth, but pick thesleves up and move on as if nothing happened.
Will you be another statistic?

The modern Jews or Isrealites as they choose to call themselves are from the Kingdom of Iberia, they used to call this region Khazaria and it was about and around modern day Armenia. The 'Khazars' were a mixture of Jewish refugees and immigrants along with Eastern European people. In time the whole region adopted Judaism. It is said that this was a political move to protect themselves from the Vatican.
Anyway even without delving into the validity of modern day Isrealis actually being Jews, Kenyans should be well aware of the fact that the Khazars (Jews) - I choose to call them good old fashioned Caucasians - were supposed to get our country as their "mother land". Isreal just happened to be more appropriate because it would act as a relevant cover, being in the vicinity of "Cannan" and all, and give America their first Middle East test lab of terror. How lucky for us huh?
Anyone fimiliar with the Lavon affair of the 1950s where Mossad agents posing as Arab militia, were busted trying to bomb American interests in Egypt, should be well aware of how deceptive the Mossad is; their slogan is "Make war by way of deception" - how appropriate. Oh yeah, and there is the little incident of Odigo, an Isreali SMS company whose offices were in the twin towers. Their employees received SMS and calls warning them not to report to work on 9/11. I'm not insuniating anything here but I refuse to dimiss this as a pure chance happening.
Ariel Sharon's was on a path to end all strife but some how he went into a coma and almost immediately after the innoguration of new authorities, Isreal killed an innocent Palestinian family out for a fun day on the beach and arrogantly denied responsibility. CNN was kind enough to show us the haunting pictures of the lone survivor, a 12 year old girl, running about the beach salvaging the shredded body parts of her family members. Then they attack Palestine from two fronts, both North and South, claiming a rescue mission. Why then did they refuse a cease fire proposed by Hamas on Friday?
Hamas has held press conference after press conference confirming that the soilder is alive and well, seeking a diplomatic solution but Isreal continues to stage air strikes and infantry excursions, they have blocked all food aid, all medicine, all basic ammenities and knocked out the power plants. The Isrealis say they do not negotiate with terrorists - pure bull shyt! Isreal has carried out prisoner exchanges with Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt ... name it, on countless occassions.
Palestinians on life support machines are dying because of the crippling blackouts yet some of us actually blame Palestine? Come on guys, this is terrorism which if we fail to oppose and expose, will soon visit us.

This is not an absurd assumption to make, when in this 'age of cyberinfo' as you so elegantly put it, you provide absolutely NO references to support your wild claims other than repeated quotes from the book of revelations.
>Question to you Death.
Perhaps you didn't understand what I meant. When I say that the catholic church is more politically docile than most, I simply mean that they are less interested in influencing political decisions, and more willing to sit back and let governments do their job. Having said that, the answer to all your questions is simply yes, I don't see the problem.
>And Death, please use another handle because if you continue
>to deny facts am just going to assume that it has something to
>do with your handle.
What facts? This is what I've been waiting for. And No, I wont be using a different handle, now please stick to the issue at hand.
>I will from next week Monday furnish you with a list of books
>from which you will draw useful conclusion on this subject.
I eagerly await these sources but first I feel the need to make one thing clear, so that you don't go off on pointless tangents.
I'm not interested in the bickering between various religions and denominations, neither am I interested in the any interpretations tying the some modern day event/entity to the book of revelations (because frankly there are interpretations tying everything from Microsoft to munyiri fish and chips with that book)
What I AM interested in however, is your claim that the pope has been, and is still actively influencing US policy in the Middle East.
Please provide concrete evidence supporting this claim.
Thank you.

Deliberate attacks on civilians are never justified.
dozens of Palestinian children have been killed or gravely injured as a result of excessive use of force by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). Human Rights Watch is concerned that in at least some instances Israeli soldiers targeted children or fired recklessly into crowds that included children. While many of the children may have been involved in demonstrations or stone throwing, few, if any, posed an imminent threat to life that might have justified using lethal force against them.
Israel has launched several attacks on Gaza, bombing its main university and firing missiles which have killed Palestinian bystanders. This follows the capture of an Israeli soldier by Palestinians, while the whole world is talking about one Israeli soldier, more than 10 000 Palestinians were being kept in Israeli jails.
The capture of Israeli soldier, Gilad Shalit is a clear act of self-defense. One of America's top and most courageous international law professors wrote me yesterday: "Insist on calling Gilad Shalit a prisoner of war, for he is one." Well, maybe according to international law and the Geneva Conventions, but not CNN, Fox News and the increasingly spineless BBC, which insists on presenting the solider (with an overt emphasis on his young age) as a victim, who was "kidnapped" by Palestinian "militants", who are "affiliated" with the Hamas government, and that Israel is doing its outmost to free him, insisting that there can be "no negotiations with terrorists." If reporters stationed with the invading Israeli soldiers, amassed in and around the Gaza Strip fail to communicate these assertions themselves, then they will do all they can to ensure that they are communicated by Israeli military spokesmen or "experts", both seem to convey the same ideas.
By not challenging the Israeli narrative in any meaningful way, and dumping it on hapless viewers all around the world, the uncritical media has become a tool in the hands of Israel's war strategists and their eternal concoctions. Consider this for example, an Israeli military commander tells a BBC correspondent dispatched to the border area between Israel and Gaza, that Israel intends on opening the border for "as long as it takes" to offset the humanitarian crisis developing in Gaza. The Israeli Army representative in a barefaced lie declares that the border has always been open, despite the perpetual Palestinian threat on the state of Israel. The BBC correspondent thanks him sincerely and signs off. I, in turn, throw my remote control at the television.
Only racism can play down the Israeli destruction of Gaza's infrastructure or the little infrastructure that it still possesses (since Israel has already destroyed a great deal). The sabotage of Gaza's electricity, water supplies, its bridges and universities is justified without question, for such actions are necessary to impede the militants efforts from transporting its soldier to another hideout. And yet, Israel is praised for its seemingly generous act of allowing some food to be transferred to hungry Gazans, who ironically have gone hungry because of the Israeli spearheaded international campaign to punish Palestinians for electing Hamas.
Only racism can completely remove from the current discourse the murder of dozens of Palestinian civilians at the hands of the Israeli Army (90 civilians in seven weeks) as the reason that led to the Palestinian raid on the Israeli Army post and the capture of Shalit; instead depicting the current escalation as if it was entirely the work of the Palestinians, with Israel's slate still clean.
Indeed, Israel's slate will continue to be clean as long as racism and inequality are the concepts according to which this conflict is explained. Israel has the right to collectively punish, starve to death, kidnap democratically elected civilian ministers and try them "in accordance with Israeli law", destroy its neighbors' infrastructure, instigate a humanitarian disaster, assassinate at will, violate international law without hesitation, because Israel is not Palestine, and the lives and well being of the residents of Israel, at least some of them, cannot be equated with Palestinians. Turn the tables for a moment, and you'll understand how repellent such racism is.
Inequality has always been at the heart of this conflict, the late Professor Edward Said used to say. Racism is at the heart of inequality, I must add. The media can be ignorant, biased, self-serving, indeed, but it can also be utterly racist

I am still in the process of structuring my posting in proper sequence, complete with references that will help you understand what is taking place in the middle east. So do not think that i have kept that aside.
