Kemi,

damn, that's interesting and very revealing. I hope you now understand why suicide bombers also do what they do - because they believe that's what their god wants, and that they will be well rewarded in heaven.

Have you ever paused to ask yourself "how can a 4-day-old infant be an evil being?" They cannot even do any basic thing for themselves, how do you then say they are culpable of evil? And why should an almighty god be scared or threatened by a 4-day-old kid? And if he is indeed killing the kid coz it's evil, why the hell didn't he kill really evil men Hitler, Amin, Saddam and Pol Pot while they were still kids? It just doesn't make sense, and that's why I don't believe.

I have read Revelations so I know what's coming if the Christian god exists. I'll definitely be comforting those Midianite and Amalekite kids in hell, coz they surely did not deserve what god put them through when they were on earth!

About my courage - you're right. it takes a lot of courage to question and condemn what you've always thought to be true, especially when who you are condemning is the most powerful being ever. My take is that if god is actually threatened because a mere mortal like me is questioning him, then he definitely isn't all powerful and worthy of reverence and worship!

God has assured you that His Judgement is coming. Its His prerogative whether he gives to you today or tomorrow.

ATLian,

You always end up proving what one of my favourite authour said "Atheism has a greater capacity to smell rotten eggs than to lay good ones, or to attack other systems than to defend its own."

I am so surprised that you still think that as long as you can throw stones at an arguement ..... then you dont have to prove 'your side' or bother to give an alternative explaination.

I was hoping that you would explain how we judge evil and good ...... (I was ammused by your 'if not creation' escaping explaination ...... ati you are not a theological physist?) and other topics

The true nature of Atheism- whether disguised in Eastern mysticism or American cynicism- is DESPAIR and HOPELESSNESS.

TM,

before I get back to your questions, please answer the questions I posed in the last paragraph above:
___________________________________________

One final question TM (and to the other active Christians like Kemi, Americanized, Pebbles, etc): Would you have been an active participant in killing the Amalekite infants, and would you have been one of the ones who were insisting on killing the Midianite infants? Would you have been pissed off when your fellow soldiers took the Midianite children as hostages? After god told your army to wipe out all but the virgins, would you have gone back and killed more infants, then taken home for yourself the best looking virgin girls you could find? Would you have been totally at ease and justified with yourself because you did what your god commanded you, and what you know to be right and moral in your god's eyes?

Pole, bwana ATLian (I told you before that I never bothering reading more than 10-15 sentances).

First, God and only God has the prerogative to decide about life, judgement on Earth and there after.

If God was to decide that people were to live a longer lifespan (say 200yrs) or a short one (say 10yrs) ......... would He be a fair/just God?
If God were to have designed man in such a manner that 'children ate their parent so that get energy to grow' ....would God be unfair?
If your days were 'up', is it fair that God has a 'veto' on how you die?

ATLian, are you now starting to beleive that God exists, that he is a good God and that His Word is true .........and therefore now your only problem is that you think that 'these examples' are inconsitent with you new found belief ......ama it purely throwing stones?

TM, just answer the question Atlian posed to you, stop beating about the bush.

TM, is your conscious disturbed by the question Atlian posed as to if you will kill an infant if commanded by God?! Me thinks yes, and yes, deep down, you know some things are just wrong. You cannot explain them, you need blind faith sometimes. It's hard having the power to reason yet you are expected to believe.

Keminokana, thank you for being direct, I see you're a man of faith. Can you please tell TM to be the same?

My answer has always been 'I would have no problems in obeying God to the letter'.

Lol... ati puny muscles against God.

Anyway KEMI you cannot commend a person for being so foolish as to challenge God.I know that God is not man and man will never be close to understand his workings.

Teejay,

I was in a way commending him for being proud to be so foolish. That is a rare trait. No offence intended @ Atlian.
