The Catholic Mirror -
05-24-2006, 02:04 PM
The Catholic Mirror of September 23, 1893 is a good read to those who seek to know the truth for themselves. It will expose RCC's halting on crutches of unequal size, one leg by truth supported, one by lies, thus sidle to the goal with awkward pace and leading millions to perdition.
This is their own paper so it is not some unorthodox religious fanatic and/or disgruntled element bashing the RCC. It was shared with me by one of their ex-priests who has since become a true believer when he started thinking and reasoning 'out of the box'!
"The class of texts in the NT, under the title "Sabbath," numbering 61 in the Gospels, Acts and Epistles, and the second calss, in which "the first day of the week," or Sunday, having been critically examined (the latter class numbering nine), and having been found not to afford the slightest clue to a change of will on the part of God as to His day of worship by man, ...."
The diciples kept the Sabbath, after Jesus' example, for thirty years afterwards, according to the Sacred Record. Jesus kept the Sabbath even in His death.
"We have proved neither their Biblical ancestors nor themselves have ever kept one Sabbath day in their lives. The Israelites and the Seventh-Day Adventists are witnesses of their weekly desecreation of the day named by God so repeatedly, and whilst they have ignored and condemended their teacher, the Bible, they have adopted a day kept by the Catholic Church. What Protestant can, after perusing these articles, with a clear conscience, continue to disobey the command of God, enjoining Saturday to be kept, which command his teacher, the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, records as the will of God?
"the Methodists, have declare that the Sabbath has never been abrogated, whilst the followers of the Church of England, together with her daughter, the Episcopal Church of the United Staes, are committed by the 20th Article of Religion, already quoted, to the ordinance that the church cannot lawfully ordain anything "contrary to God's word written." God's written word enjoins His worship to be on Saturday, absolutely, repeatedly, and most emphatically, with a most positive threat of death to him who disobeys. All the biblical sects occupy the same self-stultifying position which no explanation can modify, much less justify.
I say, "Iniquitas mentita est sibi."

Peebles you keep making a lot of noise here about the catholic church and all the non SDA churches not obeying gods explicit word. Well, the following ten commandments are written clearly in the bible:
(1) Do not worship any god other than Yahweh.
(2) Do not make molten gods.
(3) Keep the feast of unleavened bread.
(4) The firstborn offspring of every cow and sheep is to be sacrificed to God.
(5) The seventh day of each week is set aside to rest.
(6) Observe the feast of weeks.
(7) All male children must appear before God three times per year.
(8) The blood of a sacrifice shall not be offered together with yeast,
nor shall the sacrifice of the Passover feast be left until the next
morning.
(9) The "first of the firstfruits" of the land are to be brought before God.
(10) Do not boil a baby goat in its mother's milk.
Does your church and institution obey all of the above??? If not, then please start with the log in your eye!

"Peebles you keep making a lot of noise"
If it sounds like noise to your ears, then you know what to do. To some, truth is noise, to some truth is liberation and an opportunity to make a choice.
We only observe and keep the feasts that have not been fulfilled and
obey the ordinances accordingly.
The holy convocations that you are alluding to are kept by members of my faith faithfully. One of them is coming up soon and preparations are underway for it's observance. It is known as the Feast of Tabernacles.
I do not eat bloody food and to the best of my recollection, blood comes from animals and I do not eat any animal product cooked or uncooked! Perhaps I should ask you which of the commandments are we (members of my faith)not keeping? If there are those who eat meat and blood, then true they are not practicing Biblical instructions.

I do believe that at that age you Death must be old enough to die, oops sorry, to read and read well. If that is not so then we cant help you. This I think is the third time you are posting this commands even after I had given a clear distinction between ceremonial laws and the Ten Commandments.
If your church practices them then good for you. Continue to rot in that foolishness until the light maybe shown unto thee.

I don't.

I have none.

Yep
>(4) The firstborn offspring of every cow and sheep is to be

I call it tithing.
>(5) The seventh day of each week is set aside to rest.
I call that Sabbath-keeping.
>(6) Observe the feast of weeks.
Yep.

Yes.
>(8) The blood of a sacrifice shall not be offered together

I do not eat meat (cooked or uncooked) and yeast left in anything overnight will start fermentation; and I am not keen on that either.
>(9) The "first of the firstfruits" of the land are to be

See the Levitical laws governing this as well.
>(10) Do not boil a baby goat in its mother's milk.
>I wonder why I would be boing a goat with it's mother's milk.

nibbles, for the hunderdth time
SABBATH is SATURDAY.
After Jesus died, Christians started to go to church on sunday to celebrate Christs resurrection.
So Jesus also went to church on saturday.
please stop this ujinga. let people go to church, everyday if they will. legalism has no place in christianity.

Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come... Colossians 2:16-17
PB,
I would encourage you to use the BIBLE and only the Bible, to determine if what Ellen G. White and others write is true or false.
Hebrews- the sabbath was only but a shadow
Col 2- dont judge another on the basis of the sabbath
Acts 15- gentiles never yoked on Mosaic laws
Acts 20, 1 Cor 16 - christians met on the first day
Isnt it strange that God 'forgot' to remind the apostles to stress in the writting concerning the importance of 'sabbath worship'.
I beg you to search the scriptures and you will be set free from the bondage of ADDING something/requirements to God's free GRACE.
There is freedom!
