@Teejay

I got no more words for you if you still believe that 'Joshua Son of Nunn stopping the sun' was a miracle.Every one now knows that the sun does not move, our planet does.Surely people are we just supose to sit down and absorb this just because the bible says so.If they could not expain what an eclipse is,they should have just shut their mouth.

FYI Safina, the bible and science are two entities that shouldn't be compared. All you'll get is more questions to your questions.
Just look at the very first sentence: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth".
If you try to use science, its brick wall right from the start.

Ma friend its about bible and reality. The bible is based on myths and hold no meaning. If you still believe Joshua stopped the sun,God bless you too.The architects of the bible took/taken advantage of people's ignorance, they are giving GOD a bad name.

Don't make me start on another "miracle" of the snake and the fruit.

I wonder why churches have lighting rods. Why not just have faith and everything is gonna be alright.

LOL! hehehehe

>Here's the nitty gritty - To disrespect or insult something,

>then say that I don't respect god? How can you insult or
>badmouth something which doesn't exist in your mind?

I thought you were one who believed in looking at things from various perspectives bwana. How about mine? Now you know that you belittling God.

>Teejay, unlike you whose hands are tied down by the retarded

>I will judge him and call him a good man. It's not about being
>god, it's simple intelligence which every person should have
>ama they'll have a very sad life.

I think you are missing the whole point about judging my friend ATLian. Judging as used in the bible means that we should not condemn others, for example, as the mob that was trying to lynch the prostitute that was rescued by Christ. I do agree that seeing someone sinning and not correcting the situation is not righteous but to condone sin. So when I as a Christian see you coveting my wife I will tell you off but I will not kill you for that. By killing you I will have judged you as worthy of death and irredeemable. Only God will do that when the appointed probation period for every human being on this earth is ended. Therefore Atlian you cannot judge anybody but you can only either extol their good works or deprecate their bad influences.

You can see no that my hands are actually very free. If only you made efforts of trying to get to know us better instead of lambasting God all the time.

>God cannot and does not feel pain. Plus he has known ever
>since what is going to happen to all of us. So for you to say
>that god feels pain when someone sins in 2006, when the same
>god has always knows that this person was going to sin is
>ludicrous. It's almost like watching the same movie 10,000
>times and still crying at the ending.

I think for one to argue about what they don’t know or either know the truth but decides to be put up an opposition is foolish.

I am sure that you have come across the verse that say that God mad us in His own image. Now we humans have feelings, emotions all these God gave us. Read Atlian. Before The Lord destroys the earth with raging waters He had just said that humans have become evil and therefore “ I will not let my spirit be trouble by them forever”. A person who is devoid of feeling cannot be troubled. Again prior to that The scriptures say that the Lord felt sorry that he has made people(who had turned against him) enough proof.

>I've read reports that conclude that Moses could not have
>written those first 5 books.

And you would think you are the only one who reads reports. Just like there are people who are pro Christ and bible there are people who are anti Christ and bible. So your reports are just but additional mockery of the word of God.

>Plus I've learnt through research that Noah's ark and flood is
>very similar to stories that appeared in Egyptian, Hindu,
>Chineese, Sumerian, Greek and Babylonian mythology, in text
>that was written way before the Bible was written. The Bible
>plagiarized a lot from other ancient religions, and this is
>but one of the stories.

I looked up the word myth and found that it actually means falsehood. In short Atlian you have discredited God’s divine writings penned by Moses upon the Lord’s command. Well I can’t say much about that coz I see that you actually say that God Jehova is a liar. It is unfortunate that you thin that way.

>Teejay, I'm sure that we can all agree that a man who gets his
>education from a variety of sources is more likely to be
>better informed than one who gets all his information from
>one very biased source. Why disregard that when it comes to
>religion? One day give those sources a chance, maybe then
>you'll get where we are coming from.

And I will tell you this that the more learned we humans become the more complex we become. We actually do confuse ourselves. This may sound like rubbish t you but it is actually the reality. That the agencies of satan are not only limited to evil spirits, it is an empire that encompasses use of a myriad of vessels. If you thought that he would appear to you in person (as a horned and tailed creature) as used to be depicted in those books we read during out childhood then you are wrong.
