I actually laughed out loud after eading your response! You use terms such as "Moderate Muslims", "Al-Qaeda" and "hijack Islam", these are terms favoured by the Bush govt and also the wider group of right-wing Christians of America. There is no one hijacking Islam (there are those who have misunderstood/misinterpreted it like the extremists), there is no "moderate Islam" because Islam is moderate and there is no "Al-Qaeda" because it is a term coined by the CIA in order to give the "terrorists" a name of an organisation so that they can be persectued under 'maffia-laws'.

Okay, Coach, let's ,make it simple. Let's not talk about right wing this, and Bush that, Christian conservatives this, and and all manner of semantics. I know you agree with me but you just can't get yourself to admit it.
Do you support Osama's view of Islam? Yes or No?

@ COACH.
I cant agree with you more, in fact most of the so called Christians, fear to read Quran or anything Islamic, they are prohibited to read about Prophet Mohammed least they read the truth and revert to Islam, so they behave like medieval ostrich burying there head in the sand. You see no even a single one can mention an authentic story about Islam or the Prophet.
@ JIBRIL CESSEY.
That was a wonderful site Brother
thanks.

Like I said, most non-Moslems wouldn't be able to come up with a single positive comment on Mohammed, not because we hate Islam, but because Islam is protrayed in a negative light all day and night in the media. That is all we know about Islam. It is up to you Moslems to educate us on the positive aspects of Islam. You have allowed terrorists to hijack the public relations arm of Islam, and the result is a general negative view of Islam. Why don't you educate us on Islam?

@Americanised.
Islam introduce the freedom of worship which previously was not there, Quran tells us
..for the Pagans have their religion and we Muslims have our own, the Pagans have their own god and We have Allah, they should follow there own and we follow ours. I dont think there is any religion which has such kind of rules governing its followers.
Islam is a way of life and it covers all the sphere of humanity from birth to death. Islam introduces the justice system which was never before
..with human being behave like animals and a dont care atmosphere where the strong deprives the weak his rights.
Right now Muslims are not free to conduct there prayers in France, German, Israel. But Christians can conduct prayers in Egypt, Iraq, Palestine, Sudan
who is more tolerant here between the two religions even in this era?

i feel so sorry for all those muslims.......um....over a million in france? who will now never go to heaven since they are not free to conduct prayers......interesting that none of them have ever complained about being unable to pray freely.....but that's a different story.
so sad, so sad they cannot pray freely......

hey spairo,
How can anyone even dare condemn this great religion and what beauty it has brought upon this world......how dare they......let's look at the positive things.
1. Thieves- just chop off their limbs, even if proved innocent later at least they will not dare think of stealing in the future. Crime levels cut down, positive!!
2. EnvironMental- save on unneccessary manufacture of plastic, don't use condoms but instead have four wives and plenty of kids, help save the environMent, positive!!!!
3. Energy saving deals - if anyone dares say anything against Islam, declare a 'fatwa', have him or her killed, no problems later, no energy wasted or discussions or diplomacy, save energy, positive!!!
4. Cancer prevention for women - a must wear women's all body suit specially invented by muslim men to protect against harmful UV gazes from men, first used as a cover whilst taking a dump in the 7th Century......no more skin cancers, positive!!
5. Alcohol and prostitution - severe ban in this world, not even touching is allowed, muslims must be free from this devil...except ofcourse allah in heaven where rivers of wine and virgins are aplenty.....no more alcohol and women except in heaven, positive!!!
6. Tolerance - no pictures allowed, no music, no telly no dancing, no other religion to be practised, no questioning the authorities, no consideration for others lives (suicide bombers) , thus making islam the most tolerant religion in this world, positive!!!!!
7. Property rights- simple, all rights for men, none( well, 1/4) for women........positive!!!!!
8. wanna add on a few more?..........
-the paradigm shifter.....God's friend.
The soul is that which beholds beauty even when the mind denies it.

.ANY POSITIVE THING FROM YOU? -

After reading sajtas' weak attempt at humour, I decided maybe it is better if we find out more about the contributions made by some Muslim scientistsand thinkers...
IBN KHALDUN
- Father of SOCIOLOGY
JABIR IBN HAIYAN (Geber)- Father of Chemistry!
-Jabir Ibn Haiyan, the chemist Geber of the Middle Ages, is generally known as the father of chemistry. Jabir's major contribution was in the field of chemistry. He introduced experimental investigation into alchemy, which rapidly changed its character into modern chemistry. On the ruins of his well-known laboratory remained after centuries, but his fame rests on over 100 monumental treatises, of which 22 relate to chemistry and alchemy. His contribution of fundamental importance to chemistry includes perfection of scientific techniques such as crystallization, distillation, calcinations, sublimation and evaporation and development of several instruments for the same. The fact of early development of chemistry as a distinct branch of science by the Arabs, instead of the earlier vague ideas, is well-established and the very name chemistry is derived from the Arabic word al-Kimya, which was studied and developed extensively by the Muslim scientists.
AL-KHWARIZMI (aka Algorizm/Algebra)
-In full Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi. Muslim mathematician and astronomer whose major works introduced Arabic numerals and the concepts of algebra into European mathematics. Latinized versions of his name and of his most famous book title live on in the terms algorithm and algebra.
AL-RAZI (Rhazes)
- As chief physician of the Baghdad hospital Razi formulated the first known description of smallpox.
- Razi is also known for having discovered 'allergic asthma', and was the first physician ever to write articles on allergy and immunology.
- Rhazes contributed in many ways to the early practice of pharmacy by compiling texts, in which he introduces the use of 'mercurial ointments' and his development of apparatus such as mortars, flasks, spatulas and phials, which were used in pharmacies until the early twentieth century.
ABU KHASIM (Abulcasis) - aka Father of Surgery
-His chief work, a detailed account of surgery and medicine, was for many years the leading surgical textbook. Known as the Tasrif [the collection], it consisted of three parts, dealing with cautery, with surgery, and with fractures and dislocations. It was translated many times into Latin and into other languages. His name also appears as Albucasis.
AL-KINDI (Alkindus)
-As a physician, al-Kindī was the first pharmacologist to determine and apply a correct dosage for most of the drugs available at the time.
-In mathematics, he wrote a number of books dedicated to the number system, and contributed greatly to the foundation of modern arithmetic. Al-Kindī also popularized the Hindu-Arabic numerals among the Arabs.
-Al-Kindī wrote at least two hundred and fifty books, contributing heavily to geometry (thirty-two books), medicine and philosophy (twenty-two books each), logic (nine books), and physics (twelve books). His influence in the fields of physics, mathematics, medicine, philosophy and music were far-reaching and lasted for several centuries.
The list is long...anyone interested can look them up on the net...
Al-Asmai
Amr ibn Bahr Al-Jahiz
Abbas Ibn Firnas
Thabit Ibn Qurrah (Thebit)
Ali Ibn Rabban Al-Tabari
Al-Farghani (Al-Fraganus)
Al-Farabi (Al-Pharabius)

Abul Hasan Ali Al-Masu'di
Al-Sufi (Azophi)
Muhammad Al-Buzjani
Ibn Al-Haitham (Alhazen)
Al-Mawardi (Alboacen)
Abu Raihan Al-Biruni
Ibn Sina (Avicenna)
Al-Zarqali (Arzachel)
Omar Al-Khayyam
Al-Ghazali (Algazel)
Ibn Zuhr (Avenzoar)
Al-Idrisi (Dreses)
