Urgent Question -
04-13-2006, 07:47 PM
I have a burdening question in my heart for my Muslim brothers and/or sisters. Is it true, could it possibly be true, that what I read is what the Koran teaches; to kill those muslims who convert to other religions, e.g. Christianity?
Educate me on this because I have not read the Koran at all. If it is true, please explain to satisfy my delicate understanding. Or is this a lie "people" have cooked up against the Muslims?

It's true - and it's also true that the Christian god Jehovah killed, had killed or commanded his people to kill those Jews who converted from Judaism to other religions. That is such an issue that it's the first of the ten commandments - Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
BTW apart from killing those who convert, god also kills people just for believing in a different religion or god. I can't even paste the number of times this happened, coz the list would be too long.
So Pebbles, tafadhali ease up on the hypocrisy and first address the exact same question to your religion and to your god - "Is it true, could it possibly be true, that what I read is what the BIBLE teaches; to kill those JEWS who convert to other religions?"

I wonder whether or not you know the difference between God and human beings; the Creator and the created? Read with understanding, whatever version of the Bible you own/owned then make your assertions/assumptions. Otherwise I shall not dignify you with an answer. It is my understanding that some Jews do not believe in the Bible, so which ones are you referring to? I know you love my postings and that's why you read them. You can't help yourself and I am glad that you do because I do know that the truth irks you.

Hey pebbles,
>I wonder whether or not you know the difference between God
>and human beings; the Creator and the created?
Pray, tell us??? I do not claim to be God, but if God made me of some stuff, call it mud if you like or whatever, where did God get that mud from if 'in the beginning there was the word and the word was God' and NOTHING else??????????
I mean i look at my hand and i know it has a physical aspect, however as it moves over the keyboard it almost appears to have its own mind, its own spirit.........which one is God? Because i can feel it and touch it and even smell it and ofcourse see it then i suppose God can too, right?....but before my arm got assembled where did God get the various parts from? Another room labelled- God's Creations, with a warning sign ' warning: these parts are not a part of God because they are purely created parts, only use for creation, not to be called God.
Even in this day and age, we refuse to think and then wonder why we have all these troubles all over the world????
But i have said many things.......i beg you again, tell us what is the difference between the creator and the created?????

Hey Kemi

As foolish and as insane as i am according to you kemi, please explain to me why it is so difficult to give me an explanation on what i ask rather than start lambasting me??? ..........and yeah it's been a while since i opened the bible......but that doesn't matter, what does is if i have read and understood its contents. To agree with all that is says does not neccessarily mean i have understood it. Many people think that one has to agree with the bible 100% to claim they have understood it. That is not true.
I understand that according to the bible, God gets jealous, angry, kills innocents, wants narcissistic praise, demands loyalty, selects a chosen few as his people and is seperate from his creation.
Would it be wrong to express my God-given freewill and refuse to believe in a God depicted like that????? Kemi, if YOU have read your bible properly you will realize it does no justice to Jesus or God, it has many things that go against what jesus said and wanted.
Does the fact that i believe about (yes i said about not in) God but not according to the bible make me a pagan??

Does it mean that everyone should be a Muslim then? Is this religious intolerance limited to converts from Islam to whatever else alone?
Well, I dare say that there is room enough in my Father's house for all the converts from Islam. The Master carpenter is making lovely homes for any who will come. Was the convert's name Abdul Rahman or something to that effect? Now, that is what I call a man! One who has found something that he is willing to die for, no matter who, what, how, when, but... nothing. I love a religion that gives you the choice to either be an idiot puppet or one that liberates you to choose, intelligently, a loving Saviour. Needless to say that that convert has made my day. The gates to life were flung wide open by our Redeemer and if some silly twit does not want to go in, why not let Rahman walk into the arms of His Saviour? I am thrilled to bits for him (the convert) and whoever does not like it can come and chew my dog's bone. It's lying in the rose bush over yonder next to the gladiolas; the crimson ones.

Satjas,
You are very free to believe in whatever you want. When God comes, he'll also be free to prevent you from sneaking to heaven. God never killed innocents. I find this argument funny. For example, were the civilian germans who got killed during WWII really innocent? They supported Hitler's ideology and so were just as guilty as hitler himself. That's the principle God used in meting out punishment during those times. The case of Sodom and Gomorrah is an example of God's care for the true innocents. He promised not to destroy the city if there were even 5 righteous people....but there were none. God gets jealousy yes. Ask yourself, how would u feel if u found ur spouse cheating on you? When we sin, we are consistently sleeping with the devil instead of our groom Jesus Christ thus cheating on him. He has the right to get angry.
Read the story of the Israelites and you'll see why they were the chosen people. When Israelites failed, he finally decided to cast his net wide and let everyone who believes in Him inherit eternal life. See in the book of acts how he brings Gentiles into his circle much to the amazement of the disciples.
