Default Homosexuality and Religion - 03-03-2006, 06:13 PM

Prompted from a great discussion from another board unrelated to this topic, I thought I'd transfer the issue here so that can be exahausted accordingly under the appropriate topic...

Religion impinges on mmy right to practise my lifestyle.
You and several other religious types have an objection to my sexual proclivities based on superstitious interpretations of ancient texts.

No one has the right to cast a rock at anyone without understanding them first.

"When you look at me, and me you, we are facing different directions; my right is your left and my left your my right.....however when we face the same direction, your left is my left and my right is your right"
-Reggie Von Woic (clever chap he is)

So unless you know what its really like to be in the other person's shoes, you have no business saying their too tight;
All you have is a biased and unbacked opinion based on your own personal situation.

Ok my stand on this issue is very simple.

Timmy's you are free to do whatever you want however you want...that is your prerogative.

However if you decide to be a Roman Catholic or a Muslim then you must shed those deviant practices because you are now supposed to be living within the borders of the religion your transcribing too.
And if you insist that you must continue being deviant then you must be dealt with according to the law within which you are living.

You cannot be a christian and be gay...its against christian teachings....its either or..mutually exclusive...there is no compromise.

You cannot be a muslim and be gay...its against the teachings its either or...mutually exclusive...there is no compromise.

If you feel so much you must be gay then dont be a christian or a muslim.

I think he meant (using different words) that
A circle can not have four sides (like a square) ...... no compromise.

BUT I have good news for Timmys........Jesus still set people free from the Bondage of sin, including Homosexuality.
