I have a colleague at work who goes to church of Christ. Never heard of them till he mentioned it to me. On Friday, we were just talking over lunch and he was like he's got a better job offerr but he doesn't want to take it as he'll be moving away from his church and he's not sure there is a church of Christ where he's moving to. That led me to question him about CoC. From what he told me they sounded just like any other church. The only thing I found wanting is that he said they do not believe in the trinity, yet as you said Matt 28:19 directly refers to the tri-unity. Indeed the Trinity remains a mystery as Jesus didn't talk much about it. But the fact that he mentioned it means a lot. I understand nothing about the doxology as I have not come across it in the bible.
There is only one way to heaven. Christ. To the circumcised, baptised, gentiles, slaves and all alike. Christ. Like Jesus, told Nicodemus, you must be born of the spirit and of water. The fact that one of the robbers crucified with Christ was to be with Jesus in heaven shows that the being born of the spirit is the pre-requisite. Though Jesus also commanded believers to be baptised.
Regarding the 5 fold ministry, i suggest you read the whole bible rather than concentrating on parts/sections of the bible.
