Many Cultures and Religions around the world practise 'Arranged Marriage'. Some even go as far as practising 'forced marriages'.

The funny thing is that these marriages seem to be more stable than 'love' marriages. WHY?? Is it because most husbands in arrange marriages are Terrors?

Do i hear insinuations of a lesser female mind?? Please do some more research before coming up with blanket misconceptions. Most arranged marriages are planned/organized by the parents/relatives of the couple who have looked at the compatibilty aspect of the two individuals. This does not mean they will always last, however the % divorce rate is lowered considerably compared to so called love/lust marriages since alot of background checks are made prior to coupling.

we should also pay attention to the 'nature' of societies in which arranged marriage is the norm. in societies where parents are so invested in their childrens' unions that they will actually choose partners for them, isn't it possible that divorce is not an acceptable option for most. it's possible that many such marriages last because there's no other option. succcess might not be a suitable term to use here.
