it disturbs me that people are so quick to tie haiti's woes to its 'pagan' religious traditions while, in the meantime, the largely catholic french were comfortable enough buying and selling central africans and west africans, using their labor on plantations and raping their women. and then, of course, christian-influenced US has been instrumental in endelezaing the turmoil over there.
why is it so easy to talk about demonic influences and spirits everywhere else, but when it comes to the evils perpetrated in the name of christianity, these racists are quick to look the other way?
