Hmm.....it is....by not talking about it and living as an example of what you believe in without saying a word to anyone. Let anyone who is attracted to your belief ask you instead of pursuing to inform others of the joy you experience. When one is truly in love with their creator others will see it....you don't have to show it. And perhaps you will get more respect from others by not imposing anything on them.

Why is it that so many of the chaps who become saved become saved when their sh*t is extremely thick? Even that guy who gunned down 4 pals on Friday in Atlanta, Brian Nichols, is now saved and has accepted the lord as his personal saviour. WTF? This Bill chap described above NEVER gave god a thought when he was balling. Lakini when the reality of prison and the disturbing thought of being Bubba's gay lover in prison suddenly opened his eyes to god. It's obvious that god is an option for the extremely oppresed, and I think that's the main reason man created god - so he (god) can check in in such scenarios.
Show me a guy who gets saved on the day he wins a $100 million lottery, or a chap who gets saved seconds before he was to jump into a bed with a bevy of voluptions women willing to do all and everything to him, and I will believe that he is truly saved. As for the rest who get saved coz death row is beckoning, I think most are hypocrites and opportunists. And if I can see this, I'm sure an all-wise god can also see it.

@Satjas,
Guess you missed the verses ...Go and tell the good news to all ....and...Faith comes by hearing the word of God.
But its important to remember to live lifes that don't bring shame to the Lord.

ATLian,
Can someone like me who simply realised that I had sin in my life and therefore separated from God AND was thereofore in great need of the saviour.....GET SAVED? No deep problems or even 100million in the past, just wanted a real intimate relationship with the Lord.
SIT down and tell me what kind of God you don't believe in. I probably don't believe in that god either.

Sure, lakini even you'll have to admit that you're in the minority. You've mentioned that you do some missionary work. Based on that experience, please tell me which venue would yield you more converts, a death row of a jail ama an ICU unit full of AIDS victims - or the flashiest most happening night club in Miami. Of course the death row and the ICU unit. Chaps who are bling blinging and about to walk into a club full of beautiful women and alcohol won't really want to hear about god. Of course if things go thick and the guy is in a nasty car wreck on the way home, you can bet he'll be looking for a chaplain to save him. Which means that most chaps get saved coz, like I mentioned, their sh*t is extremely thick.

I don't believe in ANY god. It doesn't matter if it's the Hindu, Christian, Muslim, Jewish or Pokot god. I think it's all a bunch of baloney. Man made god in his own image (which is why the Jewish god looks like a Jew, the Hindu god looks like a Hindu, etc) to satisfy a craving, an emptyness. Same way man invented marriage to satisfy that craving of companionship.
But, like I always tell you, even if I did believe that the Christian god existed, there's no way that I'd worship him because, according to the Bible, he's a sadistic killer and a genocidal maniac. He punishes innocent people for the sin of others and he willingly partook in the gruesome murder of his own son. Man, he even goes even as far as killing innocent kids and accepts innocent kids as human sacrifices! Plus, he's the one who made the devil - Satan - even though he knew from before he made the devil that the devil would cause all sorts of misery to mankind.
TM, you justify to me why I should worship such a god - and why you totally ignore all those things when you worship him.

Easy there TM, do not get carried away. You see for nonbelievers -at least for me, I do not have to explain why I do not believe, I do not have to justify why, or have a debate to see who's god is stronger, wiser or more real -that is the beauty of not believing. On the other hand, I would never question your faith or beliefs -it is your own personal space -the only time I ever raise it is when it starts getting in the way of meaningful dialogue, or you start doing things that affect my life on the basis of your beliefs in god. So think about your last sentence there -why is it that religious folk always want to hear why you don't believe, only to try and show you how and why you should believe??
Basically all I'm saying is that let us accept each other, you believe and I don't -no amount of debate is gonna change my mind, just as I expect that I cannot rid your life of god -we have our chosen paths -let us respect the boundaries ...
So don't SIT down and tell me what kind of god you believe in. I will not believe in that god either.
