Default God or Allah - 04-16-2004, 01:37 AM

A couple of months ago I almost became a muslim but now the fatwa business scared the shyyt out of me. The christian God is merciful, loving and forgiving but it seems to me that allah is bent on vengeance and does not allow any form of rebellion whatsoever. Or am I wrong?

@M andmeru

The almighty God of the bible is not the same as Allah of the Koran. If you examine the attributes of both as you have already began to do, you will find that their characteristics are distinctly different. The God of the bible is a mericful and compassionate God who gave his lfe for all of mankind to save them from their sins. Only the God of the bible can forgive your sins. The Truth is Allah cannot forgive you of you sins and he cannot gurantee you a place in heaven. Jesus who is God himself in the bible said in John 14:6. "I am the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE, NO ONE comes to the FATHER EXCEPT through ME". Jesus was in effect saying he is the ONLY way to GOD, any other way will be the wrong way. My advice read the book of John and examine the claims of Christ. HE IS THE ONLY ALL MIGHTY GOD YOU SHOULD BELIEVE IN TO BE SAVED (ACTS 16:31).

You're all idiots without a single redeeming quality. You mistake FAITH for RELIGION, which has been the cause of human strife since the conception of religious nonsense. Whatever you call your supreme being, there is only ONE. Gaddamit, someone buy these cretins a clue!

Fi-Fo-Fum!

:-)

P.S. And please spare me the moronic, preachy sermons that's the bane of all the blind 'believers'. There' isn't an argument or explanation any of you have, that I haven't heard before...

Well, I have to say that the bible had a lot of creative writers..even more gifted than the "Simpsons" screenwriters.

you know it takes time to dissolve something that has been there for many years.but thats not the aim;just that you know there are many beliefs,so when you are out there with different pples its much better to share the common things and keep the other very personal details aside;its a step forward,i think.

Point well taken...But I just want to urge anyone who doubts the authenticity of salvation to try it,even if in the Privacy of their self thoughts and check it Out...Then if honestly nothing happens then I will be Open to be called a liar,and a fraud.. Don you think that if it true that God will judge all those who refse his wondeful salvation that it Is worth a try

Do have a good day
