For those of us who do not know, what is Fatwa? I can say from my own experience since, I basically grew up Muslim,(and I still don't know what Fatwa is) I and I stress on the I (my feelings and opinions) that the Jesus Christ was the only way out to true freedom and happiness for me. I just can't agree with Islam, I have problems with covering my head to the whole process involved in prayer, the whole religion doesn't settle well with me.

I agree with Y5,not that you guys are morons with no redeeming quality, but with the centrality of deity.

The perception of Islam being a headed by a harsh and unforgiving God as compared to Christianity being all warm and fuzzy and welcoming.

Really?

I find it interesting that out of ALL the religions in the world, Judaism and it's derivatives is the most proseletyzing. You will never see a buddhist, muslim, mystic, hindhu...et al knocking on your house ready to give you the 'keys to salvation'. Only christians do that, not all.... eg catholics but most.

That to me is the height of arrogance.

What makes anyone think that my particular brand of spirituality or faith is not making me happy and that theirs will be better suited?
Proseletyzing is based on the exhortation in the Bible to 'proclaim the word to thy brother lest thou shalt be held accountable'.I have probably misquoted but the premise is clear. Sounds like mild black mail to me.

Anyone who watched 'Bruce Almighty' remember that line about man looking upward too much when they can just look within? I think that's a very poignant thing to think about. My point is that it takes some BALLS to confront and question the nature of our faith and our belief because the idea of challenging God is too much for some of us.

On the other hand as Erykah Badu once sang 'most intellects do not believe in God but they fear him just the same'. You can't rationalise faith. Alas i contradict myself!! But at least i'm thinking about it.I haven't figured it out and i admit that openly. Faith is too much of a grey area issue to have any certainities about anyway

If you're going to quote me, at least get the quote right. I said idiots, which is a parallel condition to moronic. :)
And you're being too kind to them...They're still clueless. If their proselytizing was cash, I gurantee you none of them would be giving it away.

P_Cat, no need to shed your fur. You know I'm right.

Fi-Fo-Fum!

And i suppose the idiot here has a clue huh.... Anyway God, Allah, Buddah, THE ALL, the creator, Satan... All these stem from one source. Think like thinking people children sin all depends on what you believe in faith is what you make it folks. Everything could be relative if analyzed and broken down. Everything but the fact that we are created creatures created by one greater than us and since he created us most likely in his image we have in us the ability to discern and distinguish good from evil. Religion is the opiate for the masses the creator exists in every idiot out there and it is ultimately up to the idiots out there to decide thier fate and destiny in this evil good world we inhabit.

Really ther is no comparison I can make since belief In one pre disposes belief In another..If you believe In God,God Of Abraham,God Of Isaac ,God Of Jacob( Israel) It Would be fool hardy to believe Allah ( who I must confess I know little of ) since although a lineage to Abraham is assumed to be a uniting factor I.e through Ishmael, their is no mention of Allah in my Bible..God has told us all His names..Elohim,Jehovah, Yahweh, I AM..etc ...clearly In the Bible and Allah ..is not among them
well It Is not all about names...Everything revolves around Jesus,The Son Of God (and in all sense God )for us christians, who Being one with God was sent and chose to die for all of man's (everyones)sins so that we may be saved from God's judgement...
ALthough no one has disputed the existence Of Christ..Muslims call him a prophet..others call him a phnomena..or whatever! we believe and For your Own sake I hope You believe that Jesus christ Is the son Of God who came and died On the cross for us since we were irredemably sinful without HIm ..so that we could be saved ...saved from definite destruction of God's judgement for sin.
To judge the effect Of Christ ..Just note from which year the times are referenced...Bc and AD ...

@Mand Meru Nthikereria baba

Allah is arabic for God infact many tenets of the Koran are derived from the Bible then corrupted. There is only one way to God.If you do proper research on Islam you will notice it like Budhism is a result of a disoriented man trying to lead people to God whether the man was dilluded or just a deceiver is hard to tell Islam is about a guy called Mohamed. It is based on violence and vengeful inclinations towards Israel the child/descendant of promise Isaac and her friends by the descendant of the mtoto haramu Ishmael. You dont need anyone to convince you coz you know in ur know u did the right thing so now what are u gonna do about JC huh? Seek his face repent and you will find him there is nothing better you can do for yourself in this here life.Hope in the end you'll do the needful:)
