Easter has become more about Easter bunnies and eggs,choclate and shopping than about Jesus death on the cross to acquire for us eternal life and relationship with our father in heaven.

This commercial and feel good selfish attitude has permeated even the born again xtian who will go to the most entertaining church with the flashiest people and pastors who tickle you and soothe your restless conscience.So what happens if you find yourself in Saudi Arabia you'll backslide or abandon the faith altogether?When did it stop being about God and start being about Pastors,churches and people.

Gone are the days of relationship between God and His people these days its what we can get out of God that motivates not the undying first love like harlots relationship isnt what we're looking for just gain be it material or otherwise.Many of us have forgotten there is life after this life infact that one is eternal.Its like all we have is this life on earth so we must be sucessful according to wordly stabdards at any cost including our walk with God.What happened to not being conformed to the world but be transformed according to the renewal of your mind.

Like its says in the Bible in the last days men's love will grow coldremember Jesus is not coming back for a prostitute (xtians motivated by what God can do for them) he is coming back for a pure holy and sportless bride(this means one who is exclusively his and loves him for him not for what she can get out of him)

Have you left your first love for Jesus? How hungry for God ama you've reached and are now satisfied and relaxed? Remember there is always a higher level to go to in God if you think you've seen and done it all you are so wrong.Do you still love God? How then can you explain only praying once a week on Sundays when you're in love with someone do you talk to them once a week honestly? Is there anything you wouldnt do to be with the one you love?Then you lie when you say you love God.Have you been using God? Remember God is not mocked what you reap you will sow.My prayer for this Easter is that God will revive us christians again so that we love him more than even the way we loved him when we first met him.And that we will stop being mediocreand live a life worthy of our calling.May the Lord forgive our bad attitudes towards him and stir up a hunger and love for him bigger than our first ! This Easter brethren let's think about the reason for the season and do everthing it takes to make things right between us and Him.
