Default EVERY GOOD GIFT - 04-01-2004, 12:33 PM

Every good gift is from above
JAMES 1:17 WEY
17 Every gift which is good, and every perfect boon, is from
above, and comes down from the Father, who is the source of all
Light. In Him there is no variation nor the slightest
suggestion of change.

Whatever good that you enjoy in life is because of God. Because
of His love for you, He created it.

Do you enjoy eating good food? Who designed that food? Who
planned it all out so you could have it and enjoy it?

Do you enjoy beautiful scenes in nature -- sunsets, flowers,
butterflies, wild animals, mountains? God created them all for
your pleasure.

Do you enjoy a mother's love? God created mothers and put
within them the capacity to love their children.

Do you enjoy the love of a spouse? God created them and put
within them the capacity to love you.

I could go on.

When you think this through, you realize that God actually
loves you and helps you through other people. He put the love
within them - - so He is the ultimate source of the love you
receive from others.

Everything good about life is attributable to God. Everything
that we enjoy -- He created it, or the raw materials and the
ability for humans to produce it.

As you think of all this, I hope you are struck with two
thoughts: I would like to be closer to this kind of God, and I
should be more thankful to God for more things than I have
been.

Yes, every good gift comes from God. I can testify to that but Christian life is not all roses. There can be thorns and painful ones at that. It seems to me that I had mild problems when I wasn't saved and the problems became twice as tough when I got saved. I knew I was going through a period of trials and tribulations but let's not forget to trust in Him no matter what then we will eventually smell the roses.

I know what you are saying Mishi as it happened to me too. But i can tell you for sure that the closeness i have developed with God during this time is priceless. Besides,i know that he is a God who always fulfils his promises, so i will rely on his spirit and his grace as i go through this journey.

Thinking about getting It rough I am amazed at the Man Joseph..he did get his share of it...He was put two years in the Dungeon prison in potiphars house,on fabricated charges nonetheless..and that after helping Out the kings servant's with Their dreams..But dont you like the end..He became the Next most powerful man in Egypt.. Long story shortened, rejoice in your tribulations ,If You hang on,There is always a crown..On earth and in Heaven..

Assuming their lives are perfect and Troublefree then the call would not make any difference..it would Be useless. But if they live "normal" Lives then there is Hope..Then again, God does his own calling....
