Default Praying for the dead. - 05-30-2003, 07:33 AM

I know there are some that pray for the dead is there any scriptures to show it is okay?

I have looked and not found any for it or against it.

I don't see why it would be wrong as long as you are praying for the dead not to the dead.

What is your idea on this?

If you have scriptures that would be helpful.

Otherwise I just like to have opinions.

Scriptures and opinions both would be appreciated.
.....at peace!

Before you pray for another deceased loved one, please understand that these are all man-made rules. God never asked you to pray for the dead, nor did He promise it would do any good.

And hey, if its praying for them to like go to heaven..? then i think its very useless cuz for one to see God's kingdom they need to confess with their tongues that they do belive in Jesus and ask for forgiveness of their sins AND get baptised in the name of the Father, the Son and the HOly Spirit .. i don't see that happening when someone is dead so i guess its useless.

hehehehe......ok back to the issue.

Praying for the dead is a tad bit too late if you asked me. I'm not sure how long the ka soul chills in a corpse, but can bet you it vamooses quicker than expected. I gather that things are done chap chap coz there's no commission of inquiry up there, and the worst part is that the Judge is the Jury is the Executioner.....So kama ni mbaya ni mbaya. So y'all mend your ways while you can still suck in some oxygen. Do not wait until Polo Piach et al. them funky catalysts of death strike you.

I hear voices....do you?
