Ash Wednesday(Lent)

For all Mashada Cathos, as you all know today is Ash Wednesday and it signifies the beginning of Lent.

Why don't we all (and anybody willing to join from other denominations)do something special to mark the season. I was suggesting we collect something (chums) either now or in 40 days and send it to someone we all agree on, to buy some gifts/blankets or whateve you guys suggest to some children home. Anything even if it's pencils.I have never liked the idea of sending chums to the oranizations directly.

Please suggest..
