Default HE CAME TO SET THE CAPTIVES FREE - Rebecca Brown, MD - 01-27-2003, 07:10 PM

I read Dr. Rebecca Brown's two books; 'Prepare for War' and 'He came to set the Captives Free' while in high school and I must admit they shaped my perception of occultism, spiritualism, satanism and witchcraft. Her story as a doctor in this hospital controlled by satanists and her patient Elaine (the former satans' wife) intruged me from such vivid details. I remember nights I slept with the lights on after reading those scary books till the wee hours of the night. Those books seemed to make sense then and most of the ideologies presented in them have remained a point of reference to my views on the 'spiritual world'.

Well, I just read an editorial entitled 'Drug, Demons and Delusions' which has completed left me in shock. Here is the link to this editorial http://www.paulblizard.com/brown3.html Could what is said here be true? Could this two women have been drugged and delusional at the time? Did those two books contain fabricated lies? I am still totally at loss of words. Anyone read those books?

Y5next: The stuff in those books is heavy, manze Miss Cleo kando!!

I gather from your comments that you haven’t a clue what those Rebecca Brown books contained. The stories and events depicted on those books would make Miss Cleo seem like a choir gal!

There were gruesome details of occultic ceremonies that included human and baby sacrifices, sexual orgies, blood drinking…the works. That Elaine lady, while in the position of Satan’s wife claimed to have had meetings with Presidents, musicians, a lot of famous people and even the Pope. UFO’s, Vampires, Zombie and all those unexplainable spiritual encounters are reasonably explained. Now to think that all that could have been all a lie…..I still don’t believe it.

Maybe JPac could shed some light here for us. JPac, do you remember seeing Elaine in one of those orgies when she was NATAS wife?

Hey, as far as am concerned, the demonic world is real, but we can have the devil under our feet....is we know the power and authority we have in Christ!!

Life provides enough drama for me not to venture into the dark world of the occult and devilry. I'd hate to waste my limited time on this here planet exploring things that wouldn't give me any pleasure, and leave me with more questions than answers.

@Bow
I don’t doubt for a minute that as Christians the devil is under our feet. The devil knows it too but just knowing does not make fear go away. Remember those books had a prayer one had to pray to help them overcome fear….Did that prayer work for you? I don’t want yet to make any negative comments about this two women coz what I have read so far is one man’s editorial on the ‘real’ events. Nevertheless, what he has to his favor is a well researched piece; complete with names, dates, times, court proceedings etc. His arguments seem plausible.

I agree with you that Christians’ believes should only be based on God’s words meaning the Holy Bible. However almost all denominations have other Christian literatures that help their congregation in Christian growth. Christian broadcasting radios & TV's, books, magazines etc all play a big role in teaching Christians and helping them understand Christianity in more current and relevant way. What is challenging now is discerning which of this books are from God and which are not. Basically this calls upon one to determine which author is from God and which one is not. That’s a difficult call to make.

This is pure crap! I read that book "He came to set the captives free" as well as Eni's "Delivered from the power of Darkness" and I categorically denounce them as hogwash.

REbecca Brown is a con=lady and she needs to desist from scaring little impressionable teenagers with this BS. Demons don't exist that is purely a creation of idle minds. Rebecca Brown is a lunatic and she needs to come to terms with her condition and seek professional help.

But as far as this nonsense goes, it doesn't stand up to basic scrutiny and if it is to be held up in light of the characters of the authors, conmen and cheats, it would fail miserably.

Dem Gal-- This is horseS hit don't buy into the meaningless hype.

@MTT

I respect your views and opinions on the subject of ‘spiritualism’. However I beg to differ with your perceptions that “Demons don't exist that is purely a creation of idle minds”. They do exist and has nothing to do with illusioned idle minds.

It’s possible that some people have mis-represented and abused the God given privilege of having spiritual insights. That would be something they’d be answerable for to their maker when time comes. However, that does not make demons, angels, and the rest of the spiritual beings non-existent.

As sure as the physical world exists, there is a spiritual world far much vast and powerful than the physical one. This spiritual world is not only true for Christians but for all the religions the world over including our very own African Traditional Religions.
