Default Courtship Dilemma - 01-11-2003, 08:00 AM

This is a scenario that is not very mbali from the truth :......

You have been praying for a while for God's wisdom and provision for a wife. You have your dream list of what she may look like and her qualities. Now out of all the various sisters and ladies, your physical senses are attracted to diverse qualities in 2 of them.

You more than ever seek thee face of God for weeks, and through the prompting of the Holy Spirit you sense that one of the two is God's choice for you.

Now the problem sets in coz the other one is :

1. Very Beautiful
2. Has the personality ( having observed her since when she was Form
1 and you were in Form 3)
3. Has a body and a half...yaani the correct height,bust, hips and
bums ratio !
4.You sense would get along with you, your mum, your home church ,
your relas etc. She just has this positive energy going for her.

In each and every sense she is the woman of one's dreams. Now what Mungu doesn't like about her is that the passion she used to have for Christ huko mbeleni is lukewarm now. Yaani she is a perfect example of 'Do Not Be Unequally Yoked '

Now the one God likes and is :

1. Just as beautiful (in fact she stars in a number of Ads on telly)
2. Do not know much about her personality except she seems friendly.
3. You sense it would take a some time to get know and get along with
your mum, your home church ,your relas etc.

But what she is a spirit filled woman, active in ministry and that is the point you admire the most to the extent of asking God specifically for this.

I do know what I have to do ( obey God), but I just wanted to know whether :

a) Why does God's will, at most times, conflict with desires of the
flesh ? The flesh as the Bible says is an enemy of God.

in answer to prayer God sometimes seems to swing you a dilemma of
choice ?

b)We have all at some stage wilfully gone against God's express
commands and suffered the consequences. What are some of your
experiences ?

c) How should we advice friends who are not walking the walk ?
