Simply because they have their priorities straight. Their priority is to spread the Gospel so as to save souls. Their priority is not to provide you with cushioned pews. That extra dollar you would rather use to cushion a pew is put to better use if it is directed to building a bigger church to accomodate more non believers who seek GOD.

What is your primary purpose of going to church? Seriously and honestly ask yourself that question?
If you really know, acknowledge and understand who GOD is in your life then it shouldn't and it doesn't really matter even which chruch you go to, with or without cushioned pews.

Do you go there To Praise and Worship God, to seek Him.I hope so and I pray so.

I tell you, if you go to church just for the sake of going. Stop for a moment. Think hard and long, even twice before you go there again. This is GOD we are talking about and dealing with.It is not you and me in mashada.com

Freedom of choice, go to a church that provides you with cushioned seats if you think you'll get what you were looking for that way

I believe that we go to...(correction..some of us go to) church for our own reasons. Some go to show off their Sunday best, others go to listen to the word of God, others go to make peace with God, and amazingly others go to hook up with what they think is 'cream de la cream' of the finest chicks or jamaas.....

My point being that it depends on your intentions. Look within yourself and determine if you need that luxury in church!
That's where the answer lies...
