Pledge of Allegiance.."Under God Unconstitutional" -
06-27-2002, 07:02 AM
The rate at which America is wiping the presence of the Almighty is alarming.
What will be next?
1.We don't want churches in our neigborhoods..
2.the currency "in God we trust" should be overulled..
3.The national Anthem "God bless america" is unconstitutional...
the list goes on...............
Although 86% of Americans believe in the Supreme being, the influence of the remaining 14%(atheist population) is gaining support.
In the near future, God will be a thing of the past in America.
What do you think about this issue?

I agree with you, its really alarming how they r tryin to take anything to do with God out of the system, its just soo sad that even after the Sept 11, you'd think they've learnt a lesson but they've not. I'd say that whateva is said in the bible about the last days is starting to be evident, for real ya'll!!!
Whats next? Just think about that!!
Ati they dont want the phrase "under God" in the pledge, I mean whom do they think ths whole world is under??
This pple think they have all the power but they got something else coming. Its scary, coz God will not let them get away with it.
I'm soo glad I'm a kenyan!!

jpac(Dogg)the american constitution is grown thru free masonry, so the fact that they are taking it out does not mean they don't love god, they do and it's just that they want everybody to be included in the constitution that's all(all religions)I meant, you go join the free masonry and see how the world should be run, they have a thang for ladies nowadays, so peace if you don't take it, hell be gone and believe what you can

I thought america was a secular country ?
I congratulate the court on it's wise decision of separating religion from the pledge, the religious right will no doubt kick up a fuss over this judgment but, it reinforces the premise that the religion should not be shoved down peoples throats .

One Nation under God
--------------------
The story reads attractively, An appellate court held that the phrase above goes against the American constitutional.
I find this judgement very interesting! One can easily think that the decision follows the atheist stands of the communist, and the appellant court, one may assume, is in communist China, where religion connotation are severely stamped out.
Actual, the judgement is from a liberal bench, a response of a father who wanted his little daughter not to be indoctrinated by religious beliefs.
That is America for you!
A country where an appellant court, which only listens to a few appeal cases annually, with jurisdictions of a near a dozen states spends time discussing a little girls objection to rote citation of a phrase, which many can say has no any religious weight.
The same appellant Court, which only listens to a few appeal cases annually, would allow same time limits for appeal to a condemned Black person, as it does to a little girls objection to recitations of patriotic notations. And as easy as tossing a coin, the Black persons appeal against death would rarely have exposure as the little girls objections.
Not to worry, the next stop is the American Supreme Court for the little girls objection, a judiciary last-stop where very very few black condemned persons are allowed, by the system, to appeal to.
Even Dubya has thrown in his strong condemnation of the appellant Court decision.
In God the American trust, indeed!!

As much as this decision seems to be contoversial to christians, realise that the US decision to separate state from church is the basis of this decision. All non- christians seem to agree that the pledge violated their beliefs due to the fact they believed in Buddha, Allah et al. This might end up bringing religous leaders into the mix with non-christians saying that christians are trying to impose their belief of God to others. Who is to blame for this issue? the US Govt. They wanted to separate religion from state (which is a good idea), but unfortunately they didnt think of how it would affect their anthem and bank note.

ANOTHER STRUGGLE BETWEEN THE STATE AND THE CHURCH?
america is build sorely on christian background and believes but has evolved to accomodate all varieties. the american constitution does not support the estalishment of any religion, and as long as a religions practice falls with the law books....no problem.
americans love god......they are just control freaks, and their defination for freedom is ...total freedom even to rebel.
