Default Did God Created us, or we Created him??? - 06-17-2002, 12:01 PM

In deed we created God in our own Image.

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God He created him, male and female he created them." Genesis 1:

It is clearly seen that when the first man could not really explain where he came from, he decided to create God in his image, and then claimed that God created him (man) in his own image.

If God is Omniscience, omnipotent, trascendent, and also omnipresent, how can he then look or have an image of a mere human being?

You and me cannot be everywhere(omnipresent)

Again, can we really comprehend who God is? Then why belittle Him to our own tiny images?

Therefore, it can be clearly concluded that God did not create us, but we created Him, but we claim that he created us.

That must be Proletariat. No one else is as blasphemous as he is.It must be him always rephrasing the bible to justify his evelish remarks.

I will say one thing here....we say someone is out of his mind when they have ceased to respect the virtues in them and intstead taken into into looking at the insane as their role models.

In every human God has given a spirit that always makes one feel guilty when they have comitted an offence. But when one is never repentant and continues to "dwell in a swine's habitat",the spirit leaves so that they are unable to tell the difference between evil and good.

Am afraid this might be the case with a few characters in here.Take Proletariat for example. His continued negative attitude against christians that normally exibits itself whenever he author's religious topics are just but manifestation of evil in him that seem to have taken the place of the Spirit of God.Otherwise how does one explain this continuous attack on christian faith.

By the word we are saved and by the word we shall live.Listen carefully. The word of God in The Book of Genesis say

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Now lets look into this verse in details......

IN OUR OWN IMAGE

God is, as it were, taking counsel here with Himself, not with angels, since man was to be made in the image of God, not of angels. "Our image," therefore, implies human likeness to the triune Godhead. Plants possess a body and animals possess a body and consciousness; man was not only to have a body (of the created "earth") and a consciousness (of the created "soul"), but man was also to possess a third created entity, the image of God, an eternal spirit capable of communion and fellowship with his Creator.

LIKENESS

Man was not only created in God's spiritual image; he was also made in God's physical image. His body was specifically planned to be most suited for the divine fellowship (erect posture, upward-gazing countenance, facial expressions varying with emotional feelings, brain and tongue designed for articulate symbolic speech--none of which are shared by the animals). Furthermore, his body was designed to be like the body which God had planned from eternity that He Himself would one day assume (1 Peter 1:20).

DOMINION

The "dominion" man was to exercise was to be over both "the earth" and also all the other living creatures on the earth. Such dominion obviously was under God as a stewardship, not as autonomous sovereign. Man was to care for the earth and its creatures, developing and utilizing the earth's resources, not to despoil and deplete them for selfish pleasure.

Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Looking deeply in to this verse we find that........

..........MALE AND FEMALE

Note that "man" is here (and often in Scripture) used in a generic sense to include both man and woman. Both male and female were created (the details of their physical formation being given in Genesis 2) in God's image. Thus both possess equally an eternal spirit capable of personal fellowship with their Creator. Shared equally by men and women are all those spiritual attributes not shared by animals--moral conscience, abstract thought, appreciation of beauty, emotional feelings, and, especially, the capacity for worshipping and loving God.

I HAVE SAID IT AND IS SAYING IT AND WILL SAY IT .........READ YOUR BIBLE EVERYDAY

teejay,

Is this the somberly way of differing with soemeone? Why do you brand me blasphamous? Why do you sound so uncomfortable with my mere view about religion? Do you know what it means to agree to disagree?

Actually, I have nothing negative with christianity. In fact, I'm just quoting the same Bible they read, with a different interpretation. I also respect your view, portraying me as being negative about christianity, simply because I have no option but to respect your view.

Like Chinua Achebe, in Things Fall Apart, Obierika a character in that novel said that "an old woman is always uneasy when dry bones are mentioned."

May be your uneasiness has been caused by me mentioning the "dry bones" truth, for that matter.

teejay,

I just want to thank you for your awesome clear explaination of Genesis 1:26-27. Hopefully, people will see the truth of God's word and their eyes will be unveiled for them to see the light of the Gospel of Christ (2 Cor 4:4). God bless you for being such a bold witness for the Lord Jesus Christ. Keep it up!!

PROTELATERAIT OR HOWEVER YOU ****IN SPELL YOUR NAME (no pun intended). I AGREE WITH YOU.

WE AS HUMANS HAVE A NEED TO HAVE AN EXCUSE FOR THINGS WE CANT EXPLAIN. WE CREATED GOD TO SATISFY OUR DESIRE FOR ANSWERS. AND THE CLERGY HAS PEPETUATED THE MYTH FOR SO LONG SO THAT THEY CAN HAVE AN UPPER HAND OVER OUR LIVES. GOD IS WHAT IS IN YOU NOT WHAT SOMEONE SAYS SHOULD BE IN YOU.

HERE IS MY QUESTION TO ALL "NON BLASPEHMOUS" PEOPLE. WHY WOULD GOD CREATE YOU WITH A MIND THAT CAN THINK ONLY TO DESTROY YOU FOR DOING WHAT IT TOLD YOU TO DO.

ANOTHER ONE:
IF A MAN IS GOOD AND CARING(HELPS OUT NEIGHBOURS, AND THE POOR ETC)BUT HE SO HAPPENS TO NOT BELIEVE IN GOD WILL HE GO TO HELL.

IS BUDHA GOING TO HELL WHAT ABOUT GHANDI. ATI ALL MUSLIMS WILL DIE(G. BUSH MENTALITY)
