I do beleive in God and that he does exist. When you look at all the world religions, the main unifying factor that they all have is the belief in the existence of One Supreme Being who made the Heavens, Earth and Mankind. This can not be mere conicidence. Besides when you lok at the world and its creations - there are some things that just can't be explained by the 'Big Bang Theory' or 'Evolution Theory'. I do not however beleive that there is only one 'true' religion and that all the others are condemened to eternal damnation as Christians would like us to beleive. As someone mentioned earlier, who says that our forefathers were wrong in their ways of worship? The African Traditional Religions are just as right as Christianity, Islam, Buddhisim and all other world religions. I don't think that anyone else has a right to condemn another's religon.
As for the Bible - we have to remember first and foremost that this was originally written in Hebrew and later translated to English. Some phrases or words may have become distorted or translated literally thereby adding to the numerous contradictions found and also the confusion on certain teachings. I'm not trying to say that the Bible is wrong, only that don't take whatever you find in the bible at face value, remember most of the teaching's of the Bible are hidden and require thorough scrutiny before they can be understood.

It's a matter of FAITH. Now if yours is rocky or infact have none, then pray to your God (hopefully the true GOD) that your faith may be strengthened/restored.

fredy please explain what you mean by brainwashed. Does brainwashing only applies to one who becomes a christian or does it also refer to a muslim, buddha, athiest convert?

You've also generalised in in your first contribution eg "most christians are intolerant...", "most dominations which hav become cash machines....", Most of God servants...." " Ten of thousands"...this are statements that hold no water in an arguments and thus lack conviction and are easily dismissed. It like say "most pple who don't believe in God are social misfits", or "tens of thousand of jailbirds are athiest". of "If one does not believe in the existence of God is bend on evil"...such statements would be misleading as they are based on one's opinion, feelings and are not factual and is pure falsehood. And that what you ar doing peddling falsehood or twisted some truths or bible scripture to suit a desired opinion

All these problems we face today are as a redult of man trying to interpret God. Stop trying to interpret Him; all that will result into is another denomination. Other problems are caused by sin. Man not following God's recommendations of a superior lifestyle and then tainting His name, thus causing doubt in the hearts of sincere followers.
My answer seek for God yourself, like the way we seek to know what our function is on this earth and He will reveal Himself to you. Then what you do with that revelation depends entirely on you .........

3.:exodus,God is a vengeful and jelous God. why is it a sin if i'm being vengeful and jelous since i was created in his image and likeness.

Yes, you were created in His Image and Likeness. Being vengeful and jealous is human and natural. The two are human feelings that one cannot shut out. Being jealous or angry or vengeful doesn't imply that one is sinful. NO. It implies one is very much human. Human feelings were created out of God's Image and Likeness as you put it. But the sin comes as a result of expressing the feelings..... positevely or negatively. To react or to proact. expressing them impulsively or spontaneously.

You need to read the book of eccleciastes. The book offers hope on life and also explains something to do with what role we have in life as humans. It might become saddening to read the book but in everything the bible says it always has a hidden meaning. Pray to your Higher Power to guide you to understand the bible more.

16.:Buddists are the most humble and pasceful people around. They will even go out of their way to help you. WILL THEY GO TO HELL?

Define HELL for me please. I do not intend to point fingers here but this is a fact that people do confuse the meaning of spirituality and religion. They are not the same. One can be very religious and not be spiritual at all. Spirituality is the connection between one and His/her Higher Power, the connection between one and the world i.e. surrounding and also connection between oneself. Connection with one's Higher Power strenghtens one's soul i.e. what makes one tick, i.e. the goodness that comes out. Buddists are very spiritual people and they do not believe in God. But they do have a higher power. Every one has one, even atheists.

In the bible, we also read that we as humans cannot fully understand how God works. The more we search, the more happy or dissapointed we become. The BEST thing we can do is enjoy life to the fullest serving God as we understand Him. May the God of your understanding bless you.
