Thank you Mwewe and the rest for your explanation about this,i was reading and i was amazed at what the author had almost made us believe,its good that you shed some light about some of the practices in Islam because most of us dont know .

It's amazing that even though we have a sizable Muslim population in Kenya, the vast majority of non-muslims know precious little about Islam. I know not much either, but I must confess that the constant attack waged on Islam/Muslims by Western media ignited my interest.

In my opinion, the Koran offers more answers to life's questions than the bible, instructions are wide ranging and cover all sorts of issues including money management. Women are highly empowered by the laws, which include a pre-nup agreement that allows a woman to state what she wants and what she doesn't want from the marriage.....for example she can state that she doesn't want her husband to marry other wives and it will be incorporated in front of witnesses.

Mine is not to plug Islam, but it's worth bearing in mind that Islam like any other religion has it's barmy elements who are not afraid to distort the Koran to suit their ends.
