What happens to a society where people don't tithe or donate money to church?

Just wondering what could happen to a community that has a church but doesnt donate or pay tithe to it.

...so is it really a church in the first place....my understanding of a church is the "people"...bt in this case it might be a mere place/building
...anyway offerings and tithes are meant to be a personal relationship with ur Maker.Bt a case where u want to do it because its a law, then its not worth the offing...I guess in this one probably the society feels comfy enough not to be offering...they dont deserve the church

Do Hindus and Muslims pay tithe? well their communities seem to be doing quite well.

Tithing and Offerings in church are very important part of relationships between man and God.. disobeying these areas can seriously affect a person.. check these scriptures..

Malachi 3.8-9 NIV
"Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me. "But you ask, 'How do we rob you?' "In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse—the whole nation of you—because you are robbing me."

On the other hand paying your tithes can be very rewarding..

Malachi 3.10-12 NIV
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit," says the LORD Almighty. "Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land," says the LORD Almighty."

If tithing is a measure of success, then non-tithing individuals or group of individuals shouldn't be successful...unless there are many gods.

I would prefer to call it a measure of obedience rather than success.. there are many gods yes but only one True God..

Simple answer - the church would close down. Just like any other business, if there is no money coming in, the business shuts down. Then the community would look for another church.
