and btw this is what the bible says regarding days as we know them now.

And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth." And it was so. 16 God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set them in the expanse of the sky to give light on the earth, 18 to govern the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening, and there was morning—the fourth day.

In other words, God was not going by the human clock based on the Sun's rotation. His day and night (which marked the creation days) were based on a different source of light and darkness.

Very interesting arguments Grip.

There's a very big difference between a day (like Tuesday or Thursday) and a 24-hour period (like Monday 5:45 am to Tuesday 5:45 am), even though both are exactly 24 hours long. If god wanted the times he rested to be holy, then I think that would have been specified. But since he only specified the day (7th day), then I assume that means that he considered the time differences.

Is there any holy event that follows the 24 hour period instead of the actual day itself?

You had to be the one to clarify my confusion? Thanks.

As for your question, no idea...maybe the exact time of sacrificing the lamb on the day of atonement. It had to be 3.00pm. But a 24 hour duration activity that had particular "artificial" commencement time might be some extra biblical activity.
