Default How many son's did God have?    Show Printable Version  Print   Email this Page  Email

I thought this was so interesting. I always thought Jesus was God's only begotten son .

Genesis 6:1-4
When the human population began to grow rapidly on earth, the sons of God saw the beautiful women of the human race and took any they wanted as their wives... In those days and even afterward, giants lived on the earth, for whenever the sons of God had intercourse with human women, they gave birth to children who became heroes mentioned in legends of old.

Yes, Jesus is the only begotten son. We are all sons of God.Do you see the difference?

But it seems like they are talking about sons that are other than human.

No. It's in the same context. Sons of God in this case = angels. I'm wondering if those angels were seeing the women through their clothes. What with their high powers.. In that case, I can't blame them.

I think they "see" through a spiritual context, not flesh context since they exist in spirit. The form "spirit" is different from the form "flesh". So if you ask me, they see women as this smoke like beings with no form.

Bet you would loove having those powers lol. So when did God create angels or were they always there?

Hey gal. If they are smoke like beings with no form, how did they have intercourse with them, and have children by them?

Long before Jesus was born, God said to David:
Psalms 2:7: "I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me [David]: 'Thou art my son; this day have I begotten thee."
So I dont see any difference since David is also God's begotten son.

If u read your bible you would know the answer to these stupid silly questions you are asking in this forum - like the other question u asked about fornication.
I expect someone with a name "Devine" and a signature to match to know these juvenile pathetic questions! In another thread u talked about going to Yoga classes, I would have expected you to know Yoga or any Eastern mythology and Christianity do not go together! Or do you expect other people to read the bible and spoon feed it to you?
Your obvious lack of knowledge in many things leave very little to be desired!

If Jesus was god's begotten son, then that means that he existed after god. Christianity believes though that Jesus is god, and he has always existed. How do you explain that contradiction?

I'll indulge you...asking stupid silly questions doesn't mean I don't have an opinion about them, I'm just curious to know what others think. Nothing wrong with that. You would be insulting all the other pple who answered my silly questions too, including yourself.

So with my name and signature you had your expectations, sorry to disappoint you...NOT!!!. I'll be the first to admit that I lack knowledge in some things and I'm brilliant in others, chalk it up to the human condition . But what I really enjoy is seeing other pples opinions and watching them debate.

Yoga touches a nerve with a lot of Christians, but I looove it, I love how I feel after class, it's just a series of stretches and some deep breathing that does amazing things to the psyche. It has no effect on my religious beliefs, it just really mellows me out. You should try it .
