I notice men instinctively let you know they enter the home if they come in after your asleep, about to go to sleep or it is dark outside. I guess it is a sign of protecting you to let you know that everything is okay as men tend to be protectors by instinct. By doing this they are saying "it is just me, no one is breaking in and I don't want you to be startled."
For instance my ex would whistle when he entered our house. I would be in bed asleep and he would enter the home late due to work.
I also remember my dad letting us know when he entered the home when I was growing up and now that my brothers are older they do the same thing when they enter the home.
I think this is an instinct because when I enter the home (or my mother) we both try our best to be quiet and not wake anyone. We don't want to bother anyone.
But on the flip side.......
When a man enters the house and tries to be quiet and not give you sign he has entered....he is being sneaky. He does not want to wake you because he does not want you to see the time.
Men what do you think?????? Honest responses don't try covering your behinds.
