Default Women in physically abusive relationships. - 04-28-2008, 10:00 PM

Just when I thought that we are in the 21st century, I have to say that I am shocked about what is going on in my close friend's life. She just confided in me that her partner always gets physical whenever they have an argument. Is there a reason why anyone would have to put up with this?

I once had a boyfie who tried to raise his voice on me over the phone on a number of occassions. His behaviour indicated that he had potential for physical aggression, so I ditched him. No woman in her right mind should put up with physical abuse.

Cant think of ANY good reason why anyone should put up with any kind of abuse. The excuse that many give is 'but i love him'... blah blah. You continue loving him and you'll end up in ICU,or worse. Coz everytime you make an excuse for him abusing you,it'll only get worse.

very good you saw the signs early.i guess some women stay for fear of being alone n not being able to support the kids n giving them the kind of life the father gives them. But that is no good reason coz eventually, these men can beat a woman even to death like has been reported!sadly so,but many women have to endure these maltreatments..n rapes too from the soo called husbands..!!!hata ni vile tu hawa wanaume wa mashada hawaezi sema..yu'd be surprised how many are physically abusive...lol..
